Charming, Quiet, Comfortable, Great Location
What a lovely place to call home in Amsterdam. Everything you would want is nearby. Centraal Station is just a few minutes away. Dozens of cafes and restaurants are within walking distance, or grab some food and eat at the table on the bow. (There's an Albert Heijn around the corner, and the Indonesian take-away next door is delicious.)
It's close to all the central streetcars but it's more fun to rent a bicycle and join the parade of cyclists along the canals. All of the major sites of Amsterdam are easy to get to on a bike.
The interior is just as shown in the photos, however the photos don't convey how spacious it is inside. High ceilings, windows everywhere bringing in lots of light and a good cross breeze, plenty of closet space, large kitchen and bathroom, and a separate WC. The kitchen is stocked with everything you need.
Put away any apprehension you might have about living on a canal boat. It's very safe and private. The windows aren't at eye level of passersby, so people won't be staring in. It's very modern - excellent plumbing, plenty of electric outlets and a modern kitchen. It's also very peaceful and quiet. You'll hear the occasional boat pass by, and people talking as they stroll along the canal, but that's it.
Imagine having your morning coffee on a deck chair right outside your front door as swans float by and the church bells ring. That would be your experience.
