'Les Magnanarelles' is a spacious welcoming property situated on an acre (.4 hectares) of peaceful wooded land and private inviting gardens on a residential land featuring a magnificient view of the valley, in the village of LOURMARIN, officially named as one of France most beautiful medieval villages at the foot of the natural park of the Luberon, near Avignon and Aix-en-Provence.

This large, bright and comfortable villa has curved lines and ceiling beams which recall the traditional architectural style of the region. The home is furnished with classic and modern pieces and features marble flooring throughout.

The house can take six to eight guests adults and one young child in comfort: there is one double bedroom (bed size 180 X 200) with en-suite bathroom overlooking the gardens and pool, two single beds (90X200) or one king size bed (180x200) on a mezzanine with en-suite shower room, 1 double bedroom (160X200) which opens onto a terrace and gardens, one separate bathroom and four toilets. One additional double bedroom (140X200) can be opened on request at extra cost.

A cot and a high chair are provided.

Available to guests are hair dryers, ceiling fans in the bedrooms and mosquito nets in the all villa.

The spacious dining room and living room include plenty of comfortable furniture, a piano, a fireplace, (wood is supplied), Satellite TV with English language channels, a DVD/CD player, English and French DVDs, CDs library, a radio, ipod, iphone dock and all sorts of recreational amenities.

The kitchen is fully equipped for enthusiastic cooks, and includes a dishwasher, a micro-wave, oven, vitroceramic hob, a fridge-freezer, a coffee machine, an electric kettle, a toaster, a full range of cooking utensils.

Also available to guests are a landline phone at no extra charge, internet access, Wi-Fi, a large library with English & French books, a ping-pong table, table football, and badminton equipment.

Outside is a well-furnished shaded terrace with marble floor throughout, a Weber gas grill and a panoramic view towards the Durance hills and the village of La Roque d'Antheron (summer festival of piano).

This is an ideal place to enjoy tranquility and privacy in beautiful nature.

The 10 X 5 metre swimming pool is surrounded by a terrace with pool beds and umbrellas.

In the basement are available a washing machine and a clothes dryer.

The house is centrally heated in shoulder & winter seasons. This home is available year round.

Noël and Jacqueline built this house in 1990 for the family needs. We had always been in love with this area of peace, light and beauty where the weather is ideal at almost all times of the year.

We chose Lourmarin because it is a very special place, for its varied and exquisite landscapes, for the easy and fast access from anywhere thanks to the TGV at Avignon and Aix-en-Provence or from the international Marseille Airport “Marignane” or Nice international Airport. The property is on the edge of Lourmarin and offers magnificient landscapes onto the valley and the village of La Roque d’Anthéron (festival of piano in summer time), onto the Alpilles or towards the village of Lourmarin and the Luberon's hills. It is wooded with pins, olive trees, cypress, oaks… and has the scent of thym and rosemary. The village offers a lively life and marvelous food and wine in more than fifteen gastronomic restaurants.

What makes this house unique

It is the perfect place for unwind and relax and feel completely at peace in this property, a haven of tranquility and privacy. The pool makes easy to spend a lot of time on the property surrounded by a typical provencal garden with lavenders and aromatic plants but the area offers a huge range of activities and attractions.

Les Magnanerelles exceeded expectations. The owner, Jacqueline, was excellent to deal with from the outset. The entire process, from initial inquiry to arrival, was seamless, professional and helpful. The home itself is immaculate. A wonderful place to stay. The location is ideal - Lourmarin, perhaps the nicest village in the immediate area, is a 5 minute drive and there are plenty of other interesting places to visit not very far off at all. August 2013 .

“A beautiful house in an idyllic location!

Our second - but definitely not last! - stay in this lovely, well appointed house. The pool is excellent, and set in a beautiful garden. The house is very well maintained and perfectly clean.

The nearby village of Lourmarin is one of the nicest in Provence, and a perfect place for promenading, sitting at café tables people-watching, and eating simple and delicious French food. And a good base for excursions, too. The house is near the top of a steep hill - hard work if you want to walk into Lourmarin but otherwise no problem, and cooler than the village if it is hot.

“Wonderful home. We stayed at Les Magnanarelles last month. It is an immaculate, pleasingly furnished, and spacious home. It is provided with all modern appliances that make your stay so easy. The location in a quiet, private area of beautiful residences within minutes of the conveniences of Lourmarin's village center, its boulangeries, pharmacy, numerous cafes, boutiques, and restaurants.

Management by owner and her resident agent was perfection. The pool is wonderful, the setting of the house and outdoors perfect.

Each Friday morning is the colourful provencal market in the village of Lourmarin. Also in the village Concerts all year round, markets in each village of the region, Wineries'visit. Lourmarin has a lot to visit, a beautiful renaissance castle, art galleries and is within easy reach of every sites of interest: Les Baux de Provence is a beautiful village built on a large rocky outcrop offering a stupendous view over a large plain and the Alpilles mountain range. Also worth visiting are St-Rémy-de-Provence, a painters'village renowned for its antique stores, and the old quarter of Aix-en-Provence, where one can visit the studio of the painter Paul Cézanne. Nîmes is nearby, with its Roman arena and many ancient ruins. To the north is L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue and its antiques, the city of Avignon, once home to the medieval papacy, which still has the spectacular Papal Palace and the famous bridge of St-Bénézet immortalized in the song sur le pont d'Avignon. The wine roads are a must-see in a region made famous by Châteauneuf-du-Pape. Lourmarin is one hour from the Mediterranean sea.
