I am an RN who is self employed in Medical Sales for 20 years. I enjoy boating on Lake Austin, the Austin Music Scene, Restaurants and the neighborhood. I come from a great large family and have lots of friends.
Lyle Silbernagel purchased this house in 2000
I went to a party at this house when I moved to Austin from North Dakota in 1983. I really enjoyed the location. It came up for rent in 1997 and and I rented it. It then came up for sale in 2000 and ithen purchased it. It is a great place and I decided to make it a vacation rental, so many more people get to enjoy this cool place.
The close proximity to Lake Austin, downtown, and a couple of the most popular restaurants in Austin as well as Texas
Our stay was perfect. Great location, close to everything. Clean. Thoughtfully appointed. Great shower/bath. King bed rentals can be hard to find in this part of town, and this one was comfortable. Professionally and friendly managed. We will be back.
The property is in a great location -- less than 2 minute walk to Hula Hut's front door! If you like morning runs, this place would be great. Lyle was very accommodating and is quick to answer any and all of your questions. The house was very clean and had all the amenities. Outdoor patio was a nice feature.
Perfect. It's a couple miles from Zilker Park and we walked back on saturday night. Bit of a hike, but after a fun-filled day at Zilker it was great to unwind.
The outside area is fantastic too. We stayed up until the late hours of the morning each night sitting at the bar (in the pictures) drinking and smoking. The owner is fantastically helpful and even drove us to the park one day for the concert. He made sure we had everything and communicated all the check in stuff promptly.
We all rolled in by car and it was nice having a parking spot. After drinking a bit, it is great being on a bus-line that goes strait downtown---plus it's a quick uber ride, too.
Inside, there was everything you could need. We cooked--and he had everything. There's even some coffee to use in the coffee maker; awesome towels; pots; pans; and plenty of places for us to sleep. It was awesome.
Staying here was a great experience from the beginning. The owner called me two days before our arrival to provide me all the necessary information, there was enough parking for three small cars, the place was clean, plenty of covers and pillows, there was COFFEE! Which we didn't bring so it saved my morning.
The location couldn't be better, great neighborhood to go out for a morning run and ideal for ACL goers. My advice: don't think twice and stay here!
Exactly what we were looking for, couldn't have been a better place for our bachelor party.
Great location! Lyle was super helpful!
This is my second time to stay here and it's always great. The first time was a weekend getaway for my wife and I, the second time we were up with my kids for the Charlie Strong UT Football camp. You can be in dowtown in less than 5 minutes, the lake is across the street and there are great restaurants across the street as well. The house is always very clean and comfortable and has any ammenity you would need. I would definitely recommend this place for anyone coming to Austin.
