Bathed in the world-famous cycladic light and cooled by the aegean breeze, brand-new villa Lavender offers the ideal location for relaxed holidays for families or groups of friends. Situated in the south-eastern part of the island it forms part of a small development built with high architectural standards. The development was completed in 2011 and provides a combination of traditional Mykonian architecture (50cm-thick stonewalls, wooden pergolas, stone-built sofas and tables) with modern amenities and elegant decoration.
Perched on the slopes of the serene hill overlooking Kalafatis Bay the villa enjoys stunning panoramic views of the Aegean Sea. Featuring four big bedrooms, (two with private verandas), a spacious central outdoor sitting and dining area with an infinity pool and a large Mediterranean garden, it is addressed to all Mykonos lovers who wish to enjoy everything that the island has to offer: intense nightlife, crystal clear waters and the luxury of a stylish retreat.
Constructed exclusively with Mykonian rock the villa is perfectly integrated in the landscape and as it faces south it is protected from the 'meltemi', the strong north summer wind of the Cyclades. Built in a part of the island that is less developed, it enjoys peaceful surroundings and vicinity to less crowded beaches, while Mykonos town with its bars, shops, restaurants and vivid nightlife is only a twenty minute drive away.
The villa is built in three levels. The ground level-pool level features a spacious sitting area with fireplace, dining area for eight guests and an open plan kitchen, fully equipped with modern appliances. The living area, tastefully decorated with wooden furniture pieces and handpicked decorative objects directly accesses the veranda and pool area.
The master bedroom with en suite bathroom is located in this level, enjoying a private shaded veranda which directly accesses the main veranda.
The upper level features two bedrooms: one large double bedroom with en suite bathroom and private veranda enjoying spectacular sea views, and one twin bedroom with en suite bathroom and beautiful sea views. The fourth bedroom (twin bedroom) and a separate bathroom are located in the lower level.
The double bedrooms are spacious and have king-size beds. In the twin bedrooms the beds can be put together to form a large double bed.
Air conditioning is provided in all bedrooms and in the living room. The ground and upper level bedrooms also have ceiling fans.
The stunning views take centre stage in this villa which is situated near the top of the hill at an altitude of 100m. Relaxing on the sunbeds by the pool one can enjoy the view over the ‘Venus hills’, the twin cape marking the end of Kalafatis bay, or watch the surfers catching a summer breeze.
The exterior of the house forms an extension of the interior living room. It comprises of a large alfresco dining area with stone-built table for eight guests and spacious sitting areas with garden furniture. The pool terrace, with shower and lounge area is perfect for lingering during all hours of the day or night and can entertain a large number of guests in built-in couches and comfortable loungers.
The setting is complemented by the large garden surrounding the property, featuring Mediterranean flowers, herbs and big olive trees. The villa has open-air parking space for three cars.
Being part of a small development that has private entrance, villa Lavender provides independence and privacy without being secluded. It offers an overall luxurious accommodation, full of the warm Aegean light, in a modern setting of style and charm.
Villa Lavender can accommodate up to 8 guests. Four more guests can be accommodated in the Guest House (villa Jasmine).
