John has been doing scientific research on Maui for a couple of decades. We first brought our daughter Kiki to Maui when she was just toddling around happily on wobbly legs at 11 months. In 2002, on another unforgettable trip to Maui where we were sad to leave, John and I looked at each other and both wished we’d bought a home in Maui 20 years ago, but we impulsively decided it was not too late. Our home is in Albuquerque, New Mexico. John is a physicist and mathematician. I was a project manager for DOE until I decided to stay home after our daughter was born. I've been managing our condo for close to a decade now and have made some good friends in the process. I like to keep in touch with our guests throughout the entire process, so everyone feels well taken care of. Each guest is special and I am happy to give my full attention because I want everyone to have the best experience possible. Life is so crazy sometimes that we rarely have time to reflect on how to live more authentically and to fully enjoy the little moments in life. Maui is about many things, not the least of which is recharging our batteries, having some downtime to reflect on all that we have to be grateful for, having some fun, and making some great and lasting memories. To that end, I always tell all our guests to take LOTS of photos, and I recommend framing the best ones and have them all over your house or have a favorite in your office. Hopefully those photos will help you remember all the good times you've had and can always make you smile.

Although we’ve traveled all over, we still find the beauty and magic of Maui unparalleled. Maui is both adventure and sanctuary, exotic yet relaxing, exciting yet peaceful, magical and enduring. Maui Kamaole is indisputably the most beautiful property in South Kihei with wonderfully kept sweeping lawns, surrounded by lovely tropical setting (close to 100 species of flora and fauna). It is low density, low rise, and uncrowded; a third of the property is lived in year-long by owners, a third lived in partially by owners, and only a third of it is rented out exclusively year long, everyone is dedicated to keeping up the quality of the complex. It is also close to the boat ramp, within walking distance to some of the best beaches in South Maui for swimming, snorkeling, as well as restaurants and shops and also great walks and jogging and world class golfing to the immediate south in Wailea. It is where we love to live ourselves ....

We love the beautiful renovations in A112 that were done exclusively for owner use and therefore very rare in the rental market. We love the serene ocean view from the lanai, whether for peaceful meals, or a dazzling sunset over the ocean with a glass of wine in hand, or quiet moments with whales frolicking in the distance. We love the larger floor plan with brighter interior and all the wonderful, luxurious, extra space. We love the convenience to beaches, shopping, boat excursions, walking, jogging, golfing, restaurants as well as tennis, swimming, Jacuzzi, bbq grills within the beautifully landscaped complex. Because we truly care about the experience of our guests, we never cram 4 guests into the condo, this means the condo will be in better shape for all to enjoy. And last but not least, we love our guests (30% returning guests each year - consistently) who notify us of things that need attention so we can fix it right away and often pick up needed items for the condo (always reimbursed immediately on their credit cards) or we send our Manager out for the purchase right away, so guests can enjoy them during their visit. Because our guests tend to be more discriminating, and have impeccable instincts for quality and value, and not only looking for the cheapest possible rate, they are quality guests and consequently, always incredibly kind and gentle with this beautiful unit –making an incredible difference in keeping up the quality of A112 for all to enjoy.

Hi Wen-Lin,

Just quick note to let you know we arrived late last night. Lots of flight delays, but we are so delighted to be here!

Lots of improvements this year, the door and the new door knob is excellent. The lanai furniture off our bedroom looks so welcoming. The new tracks on the patio door are so easy to open…wow!!!

And, thank you so much for the printer. It will be so helpful for Jim’s work over the next several weeks. Jim will set it up tomorrow, but, he said it is a great choice.

As always, we are so thankful to have this time together. Maui is so healing and tranquil, we so treasure your beautiful home. Thank you for making it so effortless.

While I am here I will look for a lamp, but, I will make sure to send you a picture before I purchase it.

Have a wonderful New Years celebration 2014 is good to a wonderful year! Our first granddaughter will be arriving in February…life is good.

Aloha Wen-Lin. We got home last evening on time and with an empty seat between us from Maui to Vancouver. Overnight there then an hour flight home. All well and not too cold. That will arrive tonight with rain turning to snow then very cold next week.

Now a few words from me. Your property is lovely, we enjoyed every minute of the whole trip, and I felt very well the whole time.

I loved the new washer and dryer, the Tide pods worked very well. I enjoyed having an apron, which I found in the teacloth drawer. I enjoyed the chaise and pad on the lanai in the shade. We also enjoyed the scale, big numbers and a light, we are going to buy the same model for ourselves.(it kept our weight down!)

Do you think you will still be renting next year? It is a stress full business and we are lucky we can still get our regular places in the southwest because so many renters are causing problems. If we stay well we hope to rent your condo next winter.

Anyway, as Pam has said, we had a great stay and the memory will sustain us through the winter.

Anastasia called to check in on us which was very nice. We're very tired from the long trip, but still were able to enjoy our first evening here, Did some grocery shopping at Safeway and had dinner at the closest Mexican restaurant.

We're ready to explore and enjoy the beauty of Maui and wish you the same in Spain.

I'm back to Denver, rested and refreshed after my Maui vacation. Just want to say thank you on behalf of Vessi and me: for providing your beautiful condo to us with all the amenities, helpful advice and quick response to all our question.

Vessi and Grant are enjoying the Kaanapali area now. I had a quick glimpse of this part of Maui at a few occasions; a boat tour in the Lahaina area, A Luau show at the Westin there and a dinner in the Old Lahaina before heading to the airport. I"m glad that during my short stay, I was able to explore Kihei, Wailea the road to Hanna, and of course to enjoy all the sunny, beautiful beaches in the area of the condo.

Now is time to go pick up leaves in my back yard. Snow is coming on Tuesday, which is not the first of the season :)

Thanks for checking in; we have greatly enjoyed our stay in A112 and should be out well before 11. The lanai view is terrific, and we've enjoyed mornings and evenings there. A few items for your attention:
(1) For future guests for the router: there was an extra "fe392" in the WPA key provided earlier.
(2) You might remind visitors that you have canvas bags and coolers available for groceries, etc.
