Chelsea has its own Theatre (the Royal Court Theatre) and live music venue (Cadogan Hall) at Sloane Square, let alone the score-plus theatres in the West End. Just a 10 minute underground journey brings you to Leicester Square, or the Palace of Westminster and Buckingham Palace. The mews house in the ideal location for both tourists and business people alike. There is a supermarket (Waitrose) on the Old Brompton Road just a couple of minutes away.

If you go to google maps and enter SW7 3AF and then move the little man onto the road you will get a good street-level view of the area.

As with all of central London, it is far easier to get about on public transport than a hire car as there is daily congestion charge and parking charges and Chelsea is wonderfully situated being so centrally located to all of the sights.
