LOVELY 6 BDRM HOME FOR 8 TENANTS FOR A MINIMUM OF 30 DAYS-NO EXCEPTIONS!

We had an extremely successful trip to Washington DC in January with all my cousins for my brothers wedding. The house is amazing and its extremely conveniently located to downtown and to all the attractions.

When we arrived we found a package with all the instructions and keys and the everything in the house was in perfect condition. We were shocked with the size of the house and amount of rooms and beds it offered. All the beds were super comfy and the house is in a really quiet neighborhood which made for a excellent night of sleeping.

The kitchen had all the pots and pans that we needed and we even made a full breakfast for all 9 of us and the dishwasher made it for an easy clean up. There is also plenty of dishes, mugs and glasses for everyone.

Parking at the house was also really simple, it had 2 car garage and finding street parking was really easy for our other cars.

I would highly recommend this house to anyone that is visiting DC. We are planning another trip with the family in June/July and hopefully we'll be spending another weekend here.

For a week in January 2013, our 13 high school students, and 7 teacher/chaperones lodged in this home. We were so appreciative for this opportunity. Sharing meals together, staying together in the house, riding the metro bus and subway together was a memorable and bonding experience for our group. We were very comfortable in the home. Three common areas: living room, dining room, back sitting room made it easy for our students to play games, visit, etc. We didn't access the deck, as it was January, but that was nice too. The home was very clean, we had all that we needed: towels, blankets, dishes, cookware, beverage cups, TV, paper products, etc. All slept well on the comfortable beds. Our students enjoyed staying in a classic, historic part of DC and enjoyed strolling the neighborhood.
You have friendly neighbors and a clean, park-like setting. We felt safe and had no concerns of any kind.
We stayed 5 days in the home, cooked our meals in the home, toured DC during the days, enjoyed some excellent restaurants at night. We were able to connect with the bus two blocks from the house, then to the metro to access our tour sites. Staying in the house made our trip VERY affordable, and provided an experience to keep our group together (not separate, if we were staying in our own hotel rooms.) Thanks so much! We hope to lodge here again, when I come with students again in January of 2017.

This is a spacious house and we enjoyed our stay here. Definitely not handicapped friendly due to a lot of stairs to get to any bedroom. There are things that are needed in order to make guests rentals much easier. I found the kitchen greatly lacking in comparision to places we have rented in the past and this was problematic more than a few times during the stay. There is a ton of tupperware but no baking dishes, lots of saucepans and boiling pans, NO POTHOLDERS- ouch burnt myself twice, no soap to wash hands with in any bathrooms, a $1 worthless can opener, and no basic seasoning beyond a little pepper and salt. Everywhere I have ever rented had these basics and were fairly well stocked with standard seasoning (garlic powder, season salt). It was surprising for this kind of establishment at this kind of price to not have these very basic items.

The good things are the amount of space the house offers. It is difficult to find this kind of space inside of DC metro. The house has 3 bathrooms and no 1/2 bathrooms, and the bedrooms have a good amount of space in each of them. The kitchen is very small, but there is a nice dining room, a small sitting area, and a nice sized living room. The back patio is beautiful.

Location: It is easy to manuever around with a car or to take a cab is fairly cheap because it is in the main area of attractions. We went to Georgetown for $14.00 for 4 people in a taxi. It is not as close to the White House as perceived and it seemed difficult to figure out how to catch the bus to catch the subway to change twice on that to get anywhere....you get the idea. Have a car or spend the money on a cab.

The check in and check out process is easy and the owner seems very nice. We would rent again if driving and with a large group because it would suit the needs of sleeping and getting ready for the day. It is a lovely house on the interior, comfortable beds, has beauty and charm, and overall a great rental provided some of the details are given in advance to people so they aren't burning their hands or out running around on Christmas Day to find season salt. Because of ease of the owner, amount of rooms, beauty of house, location to get around I give it 4 stars.
