Battery House boasts magnificent accommodations and is located downtown St. John's at The Battery, a tiny authentic fishing village that sits on the base of Signal Hill National Historic Park. This four star Canada Select luxury accommodation offers a fully equipped home away from home.
Overlooking North America's oldest port city - St. John's, the Battery House is nestled in the million year old hills that are considered among the 'Earths Geological Showcase'. Step outside and you've joined the North Head Walking Trail that meanders 1.7 Kilometres (1.1 miles) around the entrance to St. John's Harbour ending at Cabot Tower on Signal Hill where Marconi received the first TransAtlantic wireless signal.
The spectacular view includes Fort Amherst built to defend the entrance to the city in the 1770's; Cape Spear - Newfoundland's oldest surviving lighthouse located on the most easterly point of North America; and the vast Atlantic Ocean where you'll enjoy whales, seabirds and icebergs in season.

This property is my family home. It's the place where I grew up and eventually renovated to the wonderful property it is today. I know this area very well and I've watched through these windows as St. John's changed from one of the world's richest fishing communities to the thriving metropolis and oil and gas producer that it is today. This signature property is how and why NL Select Vacation Homes Inc. began. Our company has been offering guests quality accommodations since 2006. Many guests return each year to enjoy the views of the harbour, the great trails of Signal Hill, and the quite location of the Battery. Louise and I have the pleasure of hosting guests from all across Canada, the United States, Europe, Australia and China. The list is endless. Our friends are world-wide. We like to see you stay with us and we love to know that you've enjoyed your stay. We try to provide the little things that we know will make your stay comfortable. From the moment you arrive Louise meets with you and ensures that you receive a warm Newfoundland welcome. You just never know she might even share some wonderful cookies to make your stay complete!.
