An Oasis in the City that Never Sleeps

We enjoyed staying in Paul's place. The apartment is cozy, clean and very comfortable. We travelled with our cousins. The four of us we found this place very convenient, we had everything we need and close to the subway line.
Barbara was a very nice host. In upcoming trips to NYC we'll stay in Paul's apartment. My special recommendation. Thank you Paul & Barbara

Because we were two couples, this was a wonderful option for us. Two Manhattan hotel rooms would have been easily three times the cost. The apartment is all newly re-done, spacious enough and very convenient to the trains into Manhattan. (Two different lines within a couple of blocks). We loved exploring this very diverse neighborhood. There was some street noise on Saturday night that could bother light sleepers, but if A/C or heat is running, you probably wouldn't even hear it. This is a great option for those who want to get a real feel for what it's like to live in the NYC.

Apartment is as described - clean and fresh, well-equipped. Barbara was very helpful. Great space for two adults, or two adults and a couple of kids. Definitely enough beds for 7 adults although this might be a bit of a squeeze when everyone was up and about, and there is really only comfy seating for two or three - but depends how much time you actually intend to spend in the apartment with all of New York to see !

The road itself is quiet and residential , but close to a choice of subway stations for easy access to Manhattan. There are shops for the basics within walking distance, also a few good options for eating. The area has a wide cultural mix, but felt safe enough, even relatively late at night.

It's worth taking a torch. The streets are well-lit, but the main door, to a shared lobby, is secured with a combination lock and if someone has switched the porch light off at the internal switch, it can be tricky to see the numbers.
