To review this stay makes me worry someone else might be taking the weekend we will wish to book in the future as this ranch has limited accommodations. This ranch has all the amenities and modern conveniences one would need and more.
From the moment you open the private gate and are greeted by ponies and puppies you realize what a gem this place is. The grounds are wonderfully landscaped and is very dog friendly, we left ours at home but won't do that again!
Marty our host and owner is attentive and very helpful as to the fun places to visit. The sunrises and sunsets are gorgeous and the morning walk thru the property visiting the horses and baying donkeys was so fun. Kids would love this place ( very spacious and safe) and beg you to go back again soon. Couples will enjoy the relaxed atmosphere and quiet beauty of the landscape. I'm surprised this place isn't booked a year in advance, that's how special it is...
The little cottage embodies all we love about Paso, the incredible scenery, the laid back atmosphere, horses, proximity to our favorite wineries, great food options around and none of the Nap-attitude (granted there are places we love in Napa, but Paso, we love it ALL). You feel like you are back in your childhood cabin. We loved the bunk beds (and all three of us including toddler slept great), the little back porch where we had our bkfast and wine breaks. We loved seeing the animals around (and Shelly was a superstar showing my two year old around - Merci Shelly!). The tranquil atmosphere can't be beaten (who could choose an ugly hotel by the highway when you have this amazing piece of paradise!). Hostesses are great, laid back but there if you need them. The dogs in the property are an absolute pleasure to be around (some of then nap on our porch). Our toddler was so incredible happy to be able to play with them (he nickname the cottage "maison du chien") when he asked him if he wanted to come home, he said no! maison du chien! We will certainly come back.
My husband and I have three rescue dogs who we just adore and hate to leave when we travel so we use vrbo to find pet friendly retreats. This was the perfect place for us and our pups. The converted barn was just perfect. The bed was very comfortable, the shower wonderful and it was very clean.
The back porch facing west for wine and sunsets with the pups was just what my husband and I needed. And the animals: Garcia the goat, the two Shetland ponies, the donkeys and the other dogs on property made me feel at home! Can't wait to go back!
My daughter and I were looking for a special place to stay in Paso Robles. We wanted something that was not your typical hotel or Bed and Breakfast. Since we were traveling to Paso Robles from Virginia, we wanted to feel immersed in the relaxing serenity the area offers. This is what we found at this property. We stayed in the converted barn which easily accommodates a couple with a kid or two. The decor is delightful and the Queen sized bed is spacious. The pull out sofa bed is comfortable and the upper bunk provides a great place for a child to sleep. We enjoyed our coffee in the morning and being greeted by two miniature horses and a donkey. We enjoyed the privacy and quiet. In the back of the barn there is a patio with a view of a huge lone oak tree which at night, is back lit by more stars than I think I've every seen. Marty and Karen are wonderful hosts by making sure you have everything you might need, making themselves available if needed, yet providing a quiet and private stay. We did not cook while we stayed here, but we easily could have with the kitchen and dining table. Our hosts also provided plenty of brochures and local winery information. I highly recommend this property to anyone looking for an intimate and unique experience.
We had a great time at staying at the Campana Creek Ranch cottage! We wanted a great place to stay with our 2 puppies. The Barn Cottage was immaculate, comfortable and cozy for our relaxing getaway. In the morning, we walked all over the ranch and said hi to the horses (and two mini-horses) and the goat.We would sit out on the back deck and watch the Sunset. The wineries are also very close. We would definitely stay here again!!!
Thank you, Karen and Marty
The barn was super cute and had all the right amenities. It was peaceful and very comfortable. We will definitely be back!
We had a great time at staying at the Western guest cottage! We wanted a great place to stay with our new dog, and this was the perfect pick. The guest house was immaculate, comfortable and cozy for our romantic weekend. In the morning, we walked all over the ranch and said hi to the horses (and two mini-horses) and Garcia, the goat. Downtown Paso Robles is a short drive, and the wineries are also very close. We would definitely stay here again, and are looking forward to bringing another couple with us to stay in the 2-bedroom house that is also on the property. Thank you, Karen!
