Townhome, 3 Bedrooms + Convertible bed(s), 3 Baths (Sleeps 7-9)

The 3 bedroom, 3 fiull bathrooms for the beach home is ideal for your family and guests. Two (2) of the bedrooms can be used for guests. The master bedroom (1 bedroom) has a king-size bed with brand new mattress(nautical decor)with its own bath and the second (2) bedroom (shell decor) share a covered balcony or Lanai with outdoor table and chairs. The third (3) bedroom (lighthouse decor) has a bunk bed with a double bed below that the kids will surely enjoy! There are two(2) full bathrooms on the lower floor and 1 full bathroom on the top floor for a total of 3 fullbathrooms.

The upper balcony (2nd balcony) with relaxing views of the ocean connects to the entertainment area. The kitchen has an excellent view of the ocean on one side and the bay on the other.

Enjoy preparing steaks and seafood on the grill in the patio area below. Available at the patio below is a swing and even an outdoor shower with hot and cold water. If you prefer to not cook, a pleasant 3 minute walk will take you to a seafood restaurant and even a well stocked grocery store.The beach home also has an outside shower with hot and cold water to wash away the beach water!

Enjoy a spectacular and phenomenal beach view town home ''Docs'Quarters'' with leisure amenities and tropical decor! Visualize your paradise vacation in this beautiful beach home only a few steps away from the beach. Enjoy your morning cup of coffee overlooking the ocean waves, seagulls and pelicans. About Yolanda

We have lived along the Texas Gulf Coast for over 25 years. We have seen Galveston grow into an exciting and beautiful resort city with a small home town culture! We enjoy walking along the beach especially early mornings and late evenings - watching the sun rise and the moon's radiant glow on the waves.

Yolanda purchased this townhome in 2008
Why Yolanda chose Galveston

We found the location great being that it is just a few steps from the beach!! The area is quiet and has a small town atmosphere. The grocery story next door is great for just purchasing ice cream or picking up steaks!

Plenty of activities available on Galveston Island which is famous for its Moody Gardens featuring a 10 story Rainforest Pyramid, 3D IMAX Theater, and the Aquarium Pyramid offering 100,000 sq ft of exhibit space showcasing the waters of the world, Walk-through Butterfly Terrarium, The One Star Flight Museum and Texas Aviation Hall Of Fame with its collection of restored aircraft and aviation, Schlitterbahn Water Park, antique shops on The Strand Historic District, a multimedia documentary of the 1900 Hurricane at the Pier 21 Theater, located at Pier 19 is the Ocean Star Offshore Drilling Rig and Museum allowing visitors to board an offshore rig and learn how oil and gas is produced offshore. This beach rental is amazing and made traveling with two young kids a breeze! Beach is steps away and all the beach toys are provided! Just bring your beach clothes are you are set. Thanks again! We hope to be back. The only thing they could not help us with was that we had to go back to Kansas - with 8 inches of snow on the ground. Beach living cannot last forever.. or can it? :)

Lovely WestEnd Retreat

The house had ample space and was quite charming. I had the house full of girls and we all had a great time. I liked that the living room was on the top floor so we could look out and see the water. The house had everything we needed. I loved that it was on the west end away from the busy part of the island, we did feel like we got away even though we were only 45 minutes from our house. And it was great having the cute little store conveniently close by. Would definitely rent again!

The area has a small town feeling but when you want to join the city life, it is only about a 20 - 30 minute drive into the Strand and a 15 minute drive to Moody Gardens. We loved being in close walking distance to the beach. No streets to try and cross. The beach is clean and beautiful. The house layout was great with 3 full bathrooms one on the main floor with the living and kitchen area. The bedrooms were all on the same floor for listening for our little ones. This condo is decorated with beautiful sea shells and comfortable terraces on the 2 and 3rd floor. The view of the beach was not the best but we enjoyed the wonderful electric fireplace. Plenty of room for our 4 adults and 2 small children to play inside and out. The shower outside was wonderful and warm to rinse off the sand from our sand castle building! The market is a short walk and easy access. Yolanda was wonderful in getting back to us quickly and efficiently. Thank you for the opportunity to enjoy your home.

This was our second Christmas spent at Doc's Quarters...it was even more awesome than our first holiday there. Yolanda is the perfect hostess making the entire rental process a breeze. Doc's Quarters is charming and cozy - its kitchen is well stocked with cooking equipment and the beds are so comfy. It is close to the beach and also conveniently located near a little grocery that has anything you could need. We love that its locale is far enough away from city proper to be quiet yet close enough to drive into town in for a quick lunch or movie.

We recommend Doc's Quarters...as long as you don't book it for Christmas!
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Pet-friendly, Girls Getaway, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway

Doc's Quarters is a first class destination. It has the best location and amenities of any place on the island. The townhouse was nicely decorated and well equipped. The photos do not do the townhouse justice. The views were amazing from the balcony, the bedrooms and living area. The townhouse gave us the perfect place to relax in a quality, comfortable home away from home setting. Communications with the owners was seamless and they were a pleasure to work with! If you are looking for the perfect get a way place on Galveston you should stay here! We will for sure be going back there and we highly recommend their townhouse to all our family and friends. It is the best place on Galveston Island!
