Relaxing nature holidays, tranquil & grassy areas: In well-preserved wild natural surroundings without too much tourism, Haut-Couserans and especially the village of ERCÉ are the ideal places for relaxing holidays and a change of scenery, with all sorts of leisure activities nearby, including visits and cultural one. ERCÉ village has a rich history due to bear tamers, and in the museum you can see evidence of emigrants to the USA and their restaurants which furrow Manhattan...and it's still the case. Lots of mountain walks start from the gite and the mountain top is only 9 km away with numerous lakes, wild animals and beautiful wildlife. The gite is situated in the village, but out of sight and very tranquil; the car is parked 6 m away from the gite, which is approached by foot via a small pedestrian pathway. I will be on hand to help you carry your bags.

Facilities: One grocery shop (bread, newspapers) on site, 150m from gite. Bar, restaurant with local Gascon and Couseran food. Regional specialities. Post office Service station Some km away various shops (doctors, pharmacy, bakeries). 23 km away, supermarkets (champion, leader, leader-price, inter), lots of banks. Lots of restaurants all around. Our thermal spa : AULUS-LES-BAINS is 9 km away (pool, sauna, jacuzzi). Ski station GUZET NEIGE. Shuttle transport between here and ERCÉ mornings and evenings, 100m from gite.
