1 bed apartment in central Cape Town, Green Market Sq. This 1930s art deco building has been tastefully converted into apartments on the famous Green Market Square. The apartment has high ceilings in line with the Art Deco period, keeping some of the original fittings, which include the original windows and beautiful hardwood doors throughout. The apartment is self catering with large LCD / TV and stereo unit accompanied with some beautiful wall art. The 1930s windows have beautiful hard wood blinds and fitted curtains, so why not sit back and relax in the middle of Cape Town in a little bit of luxury.

The apartment is centrally situated surrounded by cafes and restaurants and the bustle of the market it’s self, which is fascinating to watch while you sip your cold beer or cappuccino. Getting around could not be easier with a 15 min walk to the V&A or a very short taxi ride and remember you are surrounded by some major retail shops right in the middle of CapeTown.

A LOVELY APARTMENT IN PERFECT LOCATION

On a recent weeklong visit to Cape Town my girlfriend and I were lucky enough to stay in this gem of an apartment.

It's in a beautiful, historic deco building in the heart of Cape Town's Greenmarket Sq. which is in a great part of the central business district, just a block from Long Street. An ideal location really for getting around. Walking to the waterfront is about 30 minutes, door to door. We also rented a car, and had no trouble parking it within a couple of short blocks from the apartment even at busy times of day, typically for only a very minimal fee.

The apartment itself is fantastic. Clean, new and well appointed, but without feeling cheap and suburban or anything. It just feels nice. The owner is VERY easy to deal with and went above and beyond to ensure that everything about our stay was as pleasant as could be.

We found everything to be exactly as described in the description and shown in the photos. It's not a particularly large apartment, but I would say it feels more spacious than the photos make it look. The bathroom for instance is pretty large and you don't get that in the image here. High ceilings throughout help this feeling of openness. Additionally, everyone we encountered at the building, from other residents in the halls/elevators to the doorman at the front entrance, were all friendly and helpful.

This visit to Cape Town was our first, and having such a great place to call home certainly contributed to it being an unbelievably great time. In truth I think Cape Town is awesome enough it would have been fun no matter where we stayed, but this apartment was a real find, and a great deal, and having such a comfortable place to return each day had to help. If we are fortunate enough to get to return one day, I will certainly check to see if this place is available again.

AN EXCELLENT APARTMENT IN THE CENTRE OF TOWN....

We stayed in the Apartment for 8 days over Xmas in 2009......it is wonderfully located, straight out of the door into Greenmarket Square....and thus very accessable.
We always felt very safe and secure in the area and walked to all the main town centre attractions.....The Scotch Pancake House just off the square is a very good place for breakfast/lunch and there are all the places in Long street just round the corner. It's an easy walk to the waterfront......thus a car is not needed (but there are plenty of taxis around ). We went to show in 'On Broadway' which we would recommend. Greenmarket Sq Is a wonderful location as a base to wander around and pick-up the atmosphere of the city

We were very comfortable in the apartment which is in a recently renovated Art Deco building and is very well furnished and had everything we needed.....it's incredibly good value for the money and we would highly recommend it.....we will stay again.

The apartment is perfect, very clean and tidy, with top quality fittings, and all amenities & facilities you could need. With controlled entry it's also very safe and secure.
This location is great for accessing all that Cape Town and the surrounding area has to offer. Right in the City Centre you can easily walk to The Parliament, Company's Gardens, the bussle of Long Steet and even Table Mountain. A stroll can also take you to the new Stadium and the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront. A 2 minute walk can take to to the 'taxi bus' ranks and from there to the beaches of Camps Bay - and be prepared for an exciting journey.
The daytime market in the Square, the top class restaurants, and the surrounding cafes & bars (recommend O'Driscoll's) all make for a great break.
Highly recommended.

The above apartment has just been fitted out to a very high standard. The lounge has a leather sofa and large LCD, TV and stereo system with a large window that gives great light to the lounge. The apartment could not be any more central in Cape Town sitting on the historic Green Market Square and all its cafes and restaurants. Just a few meters from the apartment are some of the major retail shops in South Africa. The famous Victoria and Alfred Waterfront is 15 mins walk from the apartment or if you feel lazy then jump in a taxi, which is available from the taxi rank across the Square from the apartment.
