Formerly known as Wakefield Cottage, The Cottage and its annex are a secluded getaway on the picture perfect island of Abaco in the Bahamas. The Cottage is a privately held residence available for hire, nestled in a lush tropical grove providing guests with a tranquil setting in which to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

Picture a place where up above there's a sky so blue, out yonder a beach so white and an ocean so breathtaking that you can forget all your worries – you’re picturing The Cottage. Our guests tell us the warm tropical breeze and Caribbean sun make a stay at The Cottage as soothing as an all-body tonic.

Located only 3 miles from Marsh Harbour's town centre, The Cottage is cozily tucked away in a private tropical garden. It's discreetly located at the end of the already quiet Eastern Shores, making it both a private and convenient getaway for you and your guests.

A stone path winds through tropical red hibiscus and wild orchids, leading to the Bahamian-style timber cottage, which is surrounded by a large, screened veranda.

Built on a rocky rise, The Cottage overlooks a crystal blue, deep water channel where its well-protected boat dock is built. The dock is also a great place for sun bathing and taking a spontaneous dip in the crystal blue water – or even enjoying a few cocktails at sunset!

Completely separate from the main house is the annex, or as we like to call it “The Love Shack'. This is a fully self-contained studio-style unit that has a king-size bed, en-suite shower-room, a sizable lounge area and kitchenette. In addition, guests that stay in “The Love Shack' can relax undisturbed on their own private terrace and enjoy unobstructed views of the turquoise blue waters of the Sea of Abaco. “The Love Shack' is available for rental either separately or inclusively of The Cottage.
