Self-catering, centrally placed, air-contitioned, Sat-TV.

Our flat has 2 bedrooms, lounge with kitchenette, bathroom and two balconies at roof-top level. We can accommodate 4(5) people. The flat is well equipped with fridge/freezer, washing machine, microwave oven, air conditioning, sat.-TV and Internet. Bed linen and towels provided. Centrally placed, yet quiet. Ideal for restaurant/bar visits and shopping. 500m to nearest beach.

The little town of Foca is about 1200 years old and has many old houses from the Greek period. A large fishing fleet consisting of small boats, and fish is the speciality of many of the excellent restaurants.

Foca is a safe family resort, and it's not to the extent overrun by mass tourism that the authentic atmosphere has disappeared. The famous 'Siren Rocks' (from the 'Odyssey' by Homer) are within 3 sea miles from the town.

Every Tuesday there is a street marked, where you can hunt for bargains and haggle over the prices. Half-hourly bus connection to Izmir and other towns.

We recently rented this appartment and found that it was all and more what we expected. nice and comfortable.Beds were very clean and the
cooking facilities were excellent.The bonus was the washing machine
and being able to dry clothes on the balcony. The appt was nice and
central near shops restuarants and also the bus station if you wanted to
go to Izmir etc. Last but not least our Rep at the appt was Rose who was very helpful and friendly nothing was a bother to her.
I must recommend Kandora taxi service to and from the Airport our driver was also very friendly. Johns flats ....10 out of 10

The description about location and facilities was totally accurate. One can look at the pictures of the property shown on internet and be sure they give the rigth idea about the cosiness of the apartment. It was clean and well-maintained. Owner had provided very good customer service including warm welcoming. In the apartment he had provided a manual with advice about apartment, city, its restaurants and other useful information that gives a very good idea about it all to a person that comes to Foca for the first time.I ,d gladly recommend the property to people who love being away from the crowded resorts. Here they can relax, see how locals live and enjoy teh atmosphere of a fishermen village surrounded by many small islands. For those who like active holiday visiting places around i can reccomend nearby town of Izmir - Turkey's 3rd biggest city - where one can go sightseeing as well as shopping. From Izmir one can reach for an hour the remains of ancient town of Efessus, Turkey's most visited tourist place.

Great flat

We had a wonderful time staying for a week in this flat and would thoroughly recommend it. It is just as described by the owner (except the description of the balconies as roof-top level suggests they are on the roof, whereas they are on the floor below - but that's a minor point). It is well equipped, with one of the most comfortable beds we've ever slept in, bright and airy, compact but not poky, near the centre but not disturbed by it. There were just 2 of us, but we would not have felt cramped with another 2. I wish I'd known about this place when my children were young, it would have been the perfect flat to stay in with them. It's also really good value for money. The owner was incredibly helpful about answering my numerous questions before our stay and has thought of many nice details we hadn't expected. The local people were very friendly too. Eski Foca is a great place with a lively, bustling centre of shops and restaurants but also a peaceful stretch of waterfront just a few minutes away. There's just a small beach in Eski Foca itself, but plenty of swimming platforms and many lovely beaches nearby. A boat trip to the Siren rocks with swimming in the Aegean is a brilliant way to spend a day, and don't miss the fantastic Tuesday market. If you want to venture further afield and have an interest in history, the Asklepion and Acropolis at Bergama are stunning. We hired a car, but there are frequent buses to places like Izmir.
