Beautifully restored and fully furnished stone home located behind the Jenny Wade birth house. Off street parking, A short walk to all down town attractions, museums, restaurants, walk short distance to National Battlefield. For those who wish to ride, board the Freedom Trolly just 1/2 block from the house. Located on a quiet side street 1/2 block off Baltimore St.

1st floor is equipped with cable, flat screen tv, internet, central air, full kitchen, washer/dryer.

Lovely sit-in garden.

SUPERB is only the beginning of a string of complimentary words to describe the hospitality, comfort, cleanliness, convenience, accommodation and experience that we had staying in the "Wade" rental. The home is roomy and well appointed. (There were 4 of us...a couple and two adults.) We enjoyed cooking in and eating out. The location is perfect: close to the "square" with shopping, attractions and eateries. We had a car but didn't need it because the bus stops right near the corner! Our trip over Thanksgiving was definitely improved because we stayed here. It would not have been the same at a hotel or away from the "downtown."

On top of everything else, the owner gave us a very generous welcome.

We stayed at this property for the months of Aug & Sep 2011, and enjoyed it thoroughly. It was spacious, clean, comfortable and quiet..located in town, & within walking distance of many restaurants, shops & museums. Even though it is in town, it is on a side street, so you also had some privacy. The bedrooms are down a hall,& well away from the main area of the house, which we thought was a plus. We loved the location, & would recommend it highly for anyone wanting to enjoy Gettysburg.
