Great escape from the ordinary!
The Beach Bungalow was everything it was described to be, and more! The property was very well maintained, clean, and the owner was friendly, hospitable, and very easy to work with. As advertised, there is fun and funky art throughout, beautiful and lush landscaping surrounding the relaxed and secluded deck areas, lots of natural light inside the bungalow, plenty of space to spread out in the living area and the bedroom, easy access to the beach and bike baths, and walking distance to a couple of restaurants and a small convenience store.
Yes, the kitchen is small, but the refrigerator is large enough for a case or two of water/sodas/beer plus breakfast, lunch and snack items for a couple of days. With that and the microwave, what more do you need on vacation?
The bathroom is also small, but it is workable for 2 people. (Hint: there is a full length mirror in the closet in the bedroom. Didn't discover that until day 2!) The only negative about the bungalow is the size of the shower - I'm 5'4" and 125 lbs and found the shower to be very small. But even that was tolerable. After all, what's 10 minutes out my day when I'm on an island?
If you're looking for some place different ... comfortable, quiet ... off the beaten path, but still close enough to enjoy all that the island has to offer ... I highly recommend the Beach Bungalow! I know my boyfriend and I will be back next year!
