The unit is in a nice building and in a great location. Easy walk to anywhere on Waikiki. The parking is very convenient and we had no problem parking our small rental car. Although we did not make any use of it as we had a busy schedule, the rooftop of the building with a small pool and barbecues is quite nice. The apartment was clean but the bathroom and closet needed a little more attention. It would be nice to have a regular closet not shared with storage (but that has to do with space limitations). It was wonderful to have a washer and dryer in the unit. There are nice little decorating touches, granite counter top, nice fridge, everything needed for an extended stay is there. Overall, a great stay. We would definitely stay here again and would highly recommend to anyone.
The condo is awesome! I stayed 3 weeks and enjoyed my stay. It was close to beach, shopping and market (right across the street). I rented a car for a couple days for COSTCO shopping, free parking was handy. Condo was clean,well maintained and building was secure. The only issue with condo was dryer but clothes hanger provided. I didn't need air-conditioner, used the ceiling fan. Full size fridge and lots of kitchen utensils/appliances provided. Pool on rooftop ensured full sun all day. Bus route and stops close to building. Owner was quick to reply and easy to deal with. I would definitely recommend to single travellers or couples. A couple of restaurants I enjoyed were the Vietnamese Barbecue place a block away, towards diamond head and the Noodle place a block away...can't miss it - always has a huge line up outside - both on Kuhio. Was sad when I tried to book Christmas 2014 and it was already booked.
We absolutely loved staying in this studio condo. Everything was just as is was described on the website. It had everything we needed, right down to the beach chairs, beach mats and cooler. Having a washer & dryer in the unit was so handy and a free parking stall was a real bonus. Richard was very helpful as I researched and booked the property, and during our stay. We would love to stay there again, and would highly recommend it to others.
Having visited Waikiki many times, my wife and I have always stayed in Hotels. This is the first time that we have rented a condo. One could not ask for a better landlord than Richard. The condo is well equipped. Richard thought of everything to make it comfortable. Thus a very pleasant stay. The condo is located on the 10th floor of the Fairway Villa. It offers a nice view from a recently re stoned Lanai, of the Ali Wai Canal and Golf Course.The condo has been recently renovated and is very clean and well equiped. We found it very quiet. It is located near the end of the hallway near the garbage shute which is very clean and not a problem. The washer and dryer are a good asset and not found in many condo rentals. The bathtub drainage is slow and perhaps should be rooted out. Over all we liked this condo so much that we have booked it for next years stay.
Seeing as this was my seventh visit to my beloved Waikiki, I decided to change it up and go with a condo rental. I am so glad I did and that I chose Richard's condo in particular. I couldn't have made a better choice.
It can be a little unnerving to try this for the first time after always staying at hotels. But after talking to Richard on the phone (recommended) and getting his prompt replies to any questions I had by email, that nervousness subsided. You can feel a little vulnerable handing all your money over in advance, but I assure you Richard is trustworthy and professional and every transaction went smoothly. I received my security deposit the day after I returned home.
This condo was everything I needed and is perfect for the single traveler or a couple. The photos represent it well with no unwelcome surprises. I loved the in-suite washer and dryer and the wifi worked perfectly with a strong signal at all times. The DVD player was also handy as I love to travel with some of my favorite shows and I didn't have to lug along my portable player.
The kitchen and bathroom are clean and very well equipped with enough utensils and cleaning supplies. The fact they supply a brand new sponge in the kitchen was a little detail I appreciated.
It was rather nice not worrying about when the maid was going to come by or about hiding your valuables in a safe like you do in a hotel. It's your place!
The bed was quite comfy but I will admit the pillows could use a bit of an upgrade. Just a little flat for my taste but they did the job. :)
While you don't have a spectacular ocean view from the lanai, you do get to see the canal and the mountains which is still nice. And the buildings you are looking at are quite a distance away, so it's not that bad. For a really great view, head up to the roof!
The pool is very nice and when I went up there for a little sun bathing, most of the time I was completely alone! Not like some of those crowded hotel pools, which is a plus in my book. And even though the sun can be hot up there, the frequent breeze cools you off.
The location of the condo is so great! It was close to all my favorite hang-outs like Dukes, The Yardhouse, Kelly O'Neils and more. It's a quick walk to the beach and since it's so central you can head in either direction for a change of pace.
All in all it was a wonderful stay and I would definitely stay here again in the future. Highly recommended!
My hubby and I had a great time in Hawaii and in your studio suit! The location was perfect so close to Waikiki beach and all the goodies there, but also incredibly easy to access with our rental car too!
You thought of everything to make the place just like home. We used the blender for shakes almost every day!
My favourite though were the tools to keep the place as clean and free of sand are as plentiful as any woman could want! We have spent our last 3 Hawaii vacations staying at various hotels. I was worried about having to constantly clean up after ourselves, especially with all the sand we track in after going to the beach every day, but you made it a piece of cake! Thanks for everything! We can't wait to visit again and stay with you next year!
