Cozy, Modern, and Central
A group of my friends and I recently stayed at this home to celebrate my birthday. I love Austin and recruited some friends to make the venture (from California) out, including some first-timers.
First: Zach, the property manager, is absolutely FANTASTIC! He is beyond accommodating! From my initial inquiry via VBRO.com to calling my cell-phone upon arrival to Texas he was informative, welcoming, and professional.
Next, the house is absolutely gorgeous. I'm a huge mid-century modern fan, and as our taxi pulled-up to the front door, my mouth dropped at the exterior. Lime green door, stone work, and succulents for days! The backyard is HUGE and excellent for evening BBQs.The interior features a plush leather couch, amazing shag rug, phenomenal dining table (we fit 6 and had room), 3 large bedrooms, 2 SPA-WORTHY bathrooms, and a colossal kitchen (with all the essentials).
"Downtown" South Congress is walking distance. We didn't rent a car, so we heavily relied on our "Chevro-LEGS". It took about 15 minutes to walk to South Congress (great restaurants), and about another 15 minutes from there to get to 6th.
I hope to visit Austin again in the near future, and will absolutely, without a doubt stay at this house again.
