100% Satisfied - Money Well Spent!

My husband and I, along with our two boys ages 7 and 9, stayed in Vinny and Mitzi's studio for five days while skiing at Ragged Mountain. First of all, "studio" does not do this space justice - there is an enormous living area where we watched movies, read, played pool and just enjoyed the mountain views out the many windows. There is a small eat-in kitchen with dining seating for four and the kitchen is equipped with everything you need to cook any meal. Beyond that, there is a very good-sized bedroom with a queen bed and plenty of soft, carpeted floor space for our kids to crash in sleeping bags. The bathroom was also very spacious. So, it is not a studio - it is so much more!
On top of all that inside living space, there is a large deck outside with breathtaking views. Basically, you are surrounded by mountains and waterfalls, and when we first drove up to the house it was breathtaking and surpassed my expectations for a getaway in nature.
I was briefly unsure when I read that the owners lived next door - worried my kids might be too noisy, etc. But, the owner Vinny stopped over once on our first day to make sure we were settled in OK, and after that we did not see the owners again - felt plenty of privacy and very comfortable and welcome. The owners, Vinny and Mitzi, are friendly, professional, courteous, and best of all they clearly take a lot of care in keeping up the place and making sure guests are comfortable - it was definitely one of the cleanest places I've ever stayed in - every corner of the kitchen, bathroom, etc. was spotless. The decor was lovely too - we truly felt like we "got away from it all."
The house is a ten minute ride to Ragged Mountain, so we could hop out of bed in the morning (without starting at the crack of dawn!) and be there when they opened for a great day of family-friendly skiing. The house is also less than five minutes away from some cute and yummy local restaurants and pizza places, and there is a Shop and Save grocery store right on the way to/from Ragged.
Vinny and Mitzi also own a beautiful cabin just down the hill from where we stayed. It looked so nice and I can say without reservation that however they describe the cabin or the studio will be accurate - and meticulously clean!
This was one of the favorite vacations our family has ever had. We are hoping to find one more free weekend during ski season to get back up there and we would definitely stay in the same place again.
