A great holiday in Beg Meil

This was a really great week in a lovely place in a great location. The weather was kind and so the kids had a wonderful time on the beaches either swimming or exploring the rock pools when the tide had gone out.

It is important to feel that you are valued during your stay and this was absolutely first class. From the owners calling the week before to let me know some details, to the housekeepers relatives turning up for a couple of hours determined to fix the misbehaving internet TV, to the neighbour coming round when the electricity had tripped showing me how to reset the fuse, to the local chap (Renee) who overheard my appalling attempts at French with the housekeeper and interpreted for us before coming back later and providing his telephone number in case we needed any more translation doing!

We recommend a visit to Concarneau and to Quimper if you get chance - really nice places steeped in history.

We don't tend to revisit a place more than once but if we do come back to this lovely corner of Brittany then we will definitely be in touch with Roland and Evelyne and would not hesitate in recommending this really nice holiday home.

Let me start by saying Thank You to the owners of this lovely getaway!

The first thing that put me at ease upon my arrival was how clean everything is. The owner has put together a little guide book for your stay in their home as well as the surrounding village. As for comfort, I was at home! Our days were spent exploring this beautiful corner of French beaches and eating at all the little restaurants only 5 min walk away (crepes are the real deal out here people, bring stretchy pants!!!! ) Our evenings on their comfy couch with a bottle of wine watching a movie on their wonderful flatscreen. Which brings me to the next point I must make. The owners have really covered all areas of entertainment with a flatscreen TV (with an HDMI cable provided), Cable, DVD player, Ipod radio deck, WIFI internet (yes, I said WIFI). This trip was just my husband and I but since there are three bedrooms, we will be coming back next year with our friends!!!! Thank you again for such a wonderful time.
