The home is quietly situated on the eastern end of Folly Beach away from the bustle of Center Street at the very end of Arctic Avenue. The uniqueness of the location translates to very minimal traffic along with the peace and quiet often associated with paradise. There is a large screened-in porch adjacent to an equally large open air deck. Both are located on the ocean side of the home. From there the view is limited to sand dunes, sea oats and the vast Atlantic Ocean as far as your eyes will allow. A private beach walkover provides simple access to the sand and the waves. A convenient outdoor shower is provided for your return trip. There is plenty of parking outside as well as a space beneath the home.
Inside, new wooden flooring is used throughout the “Sea Cookie.” A plethora of windows are used in the kitchen and the living room area allowing the natural beauty of the beach to pervade indoors. High ceilings are utilized throughout the entirety of the home creating plenty of breathing room. The master bedroom has access to a private ocean view deck that is connected to the main deck via a walkway. The master bathroom is quaint and includes a his/her sink. It is a short drive or a long walk to Center Street where you will find plenty of restaurants, retail stores and other forms of entertainment. The distance ensures that your little slice of paradise will remain just that. The sound of lapping waves, dolphins cresting in the distance and the ocean breeze will often be your only companions.
Visiting historic Charleston for the day? Walk the Charleston Battery, explore the Market, picnic at Waterfront Park, or take a horse drawn carriage ride through the Holy City.
