We have stayed many times at multiple properties at Carillon. On this occasion we stayed with our sone, his wife, and 2 young children. This property was mid-range for a beach front Carillon property in both price and features (which is to say, luxurious). Beach and area fantastic as always. Master bedroom nicely decorated with fantastic view. House overall nicely redecorated, very comforable bedding and furniture, but lacks a certain "loved-for, lived in" feel. Some examples: Stairs very dark (painted black) with no lighting, few stair level lights non-functional even after changing bulbs, overhead chandelier very dim, you wouldn't really know this unless you stayed here and tried to descend the stairs at night (we are middle aged without visual or orthopedic problems, it was almost impossible to see when descending them; would be very hazardous for elderly). However, there is a functional eleavator which could be used instead, so in that sense a good property for those with disabilities. Outdoor gas grill non-functional (did not light, and grill was dirty enough with old caked on grime to be nearly unusuable in any case). In fairness we did not try to contact the property management team about above, they came by spontaneously toward the end of our stay and were very responsive and professional, and promised to look into above issues, and almost certainly would have fixed them while we were there had we called earlier. Indoor cooking utensils less than some of the high end properties in this complex but in line with mid-level rental price (for summer beachfront). WiFI access sporadic, but this is a problem thoughtout Carillon in our experience. Overall a good vacation spot, not highest end in the complex but for this very reason suited for families with young children, listing and photo accurate, Carillon area great as always, would recommend to families. As always with Carillon you are paying a large premium for in-season beach front. Would be a great deal in the off-season.
