Adventure :
All adventure activities can be booked locally in Ainsa. These include canyoning, rafting, trekking, quads, horseriding, rock climbing...
4x4 vehicules and bicycles are also available for rent in Ainsa.
Maps of Ordesa and Posets-Maladeta and Sierra de Guara can be found in the local bookshop.
The local swimming pool is open in July and August. There are also numerous natural pools for bathing along the Ara and Cinca rivers.
Paragliding and parapente are available in nearby Castejon de Sos.
In winter, there is cross country skiing in the Pineta valley, a half hour drive from Ainsa direction France. Alpine skiing is in Cerler, a 45 min drive from Ainsa direction Campo. There is also skiing across the border in Piau-Engaly and St Lary in France, a one hour drive.
Cultural:
The tourist office offers guided tours of the old part of Ainsa on request. They can also advise on opening hours for the numerous Romanesque churches scattered throught the region.
Visit the 6th Century St Victorian Monastery below the Peña Montanesa mountain near Los Molinas.
Visit Muro de Roda, near Tierrantona, a defensive walled enclosure with church and impressive views of surrounding area.
Visit the countless hamlets and villages of Sobrarbe
In the surrounding area of Barbastro in neighbouring Somontano, a 45 minute drive from Ainsa, numerous bodegas offer guided tours of the wine making process and their cellars.
