Self-catering cottages with parking in the picturesque village of Ruswarp.

These superb, well appointed cottages are located in the village of Ruswarp, just outside Whitby. Ruswarp offers a cafe & indoor play area, boating, a village pub with good food, miniature steam railway and an excellent butchers. Getting into Whitby without taking a car, can be either on foot over the fields (30min), by train at Ruswarp station three times a day, or by bus twice/hour. Parking is available. Pets are welcome by arrangement. The 3 cottages at Croft Farm are 4 star rated, and provide a sitting room, with 32' flat screen TV and freesat, kitchen/dining room, a downstairs toilet. On the first floor there are two bedrooms, one double and one twin, with a family bathroom. In No 2 and No3 Croft Farm on the 2nd floor there is a large luxurious 2nd double bedroom. A patio seating area is outside each of the cottages for those summer evenings.

The two cottages on the High Street, retain all their charm and have been modernized beautifully, both have a private outside yard.

Ruswarp is a mile outside Whitby on the North Yorkshire coast. Scarborough is 25 miles away to the south, and the beautiful coast stretches up to the north, from Robins Hood Bay to Sandsend (only 5 mins drive away), leading to Runswick Bay and Staithes. We are ideally placed for all the lovely walks and villages in the North Yorkshire Moors, with the village of Goathland being the TV set for Heartbeat. The Great Yorkshire forest at Dalby is only 20 mins drive away, offering fantastic mountain bike trails and an aerial rope course not for the faint hearted. If it is shopping you want, York is 50 miles to the south, with all the attractions of the Minster, the National Railway Museum and the Jorvik Viking Museum. However it is Whitby which is the main attraction, with award winning fish and chips, fantastic beach and harbour, as well as the quaint streets and shops which will keep you coming back year after year.

Super super holiday!

We have just returned from a week's stay in cottage number 3 and I can definitely say that we've had a FANTASTIC time! The cottage was fabulous, extremely comfy with everything that you could possibly need, down to pegs for the clothes line and dishwasher tablets!

Myself, my husband and 5 year old daughter stayed there, with my parents joining us for a few days too. The cottage was exactly as described with lovely fixtures and fittings and Emma, the owner, was the most friendly person you could ever wish to meet. Nothing was too much trouble for her - and we even got to sample her delicious home-made biscuits too!

The cottage is situated at the bottom of a bank with beautiful views across the fields from the back courtyard - you can even see the steam train pass in the distance!

We had a perfect break here - and like a previous reviewer, our daughter cried when we had to leave.

We're hopefully returning next year and I would wholeheartedly recommend Croft Farm Cottages as a holiday destination.

Thank you Emma, we really feel like we've had a holiday!

really well equipped cottage - great location

This cottage was beautifully furnished, spotlessly clean and the kitchen had every amenity you could want for a holiday. The location was great - the only downside would be that there iss only one general store in Ruswarp so it would be best to stock up on groceries before you go if you intend to eat in. Having said that, the butcher a few yards away was fantastic - especially the pork pies! The walk into Whitby over the fields is to be recommended.

A wonderful cottage and in a great location!!!

The cottage is just how it is discribed. Could'nt fault anything. The children loved it that much they cried when we had to leave so I am sure we will be back next year.

It was Home from home you didn't want for anything.
