Beautiful barn conversion near the beach in Carmarthenshire

We recently spent a week at the barn and had a fantastic holiday. We regularly rent holiday homes but this is by far the most beautiful property we've rented, in a stunning setting with every imaginable facility a family could wish for.

We were a group of 10 spanning four generations (from 20 months to late 70s) and everyone's needs were met and expectations exceeded; from a gorgeous wooden dolls' house and train set ( chunky and very toddler friendly) to racquets, board games, fishing and football nets. The table tennis table was a huge hit with everyone - so much so with the teenagers that the Wii and Playstation remained untouched for the whole week despite there being a huge range of games provided.

The property was immaculately clean with superior quality bed and bathrooms linens, fresh flowers throughout the house and a luxury welcome basket containing (organic) goodies awaiting us on the enormous kitchen table.

The local village was an easy walk along quiet country roads and had everything we needed. We visited Laugharne (where we had afternoon tea in Dylan Thomas' boat house), Tenby , Llandeilo ( lovely shops!) and spent a couple of afternoons in Pembrey Country Park playing golf and enjoying walks along the Cefn Sidan beach. All were within an easy drive.

We're just finalising dates for next year's booking. We loved it - go!
