I had reviewed dozens of properties on Cape Cod before we selected this one - we picked it because it was centrally located, i.e. about half way up the peninsula, and we were planning to sightsee and go to the beach so this was perfect. And it was also reasonably priced.
The photos on these sites always look better than reality, but that wasn't true in this case. We were pleasantly surprised by the size of the property, both inside and out. There is a lot of light coming in, all the rooms are a good size - we were 3 adults, 3 children. Two adults slept in one of the bedroom, the other one in the other bedroom, both bedrooms with a queen size bed, and the two teens and a 10 year old slept in the bunk beds and trundle bed in the third bedroom, and we all slept very well. The beds are comfortable, the air conditioning works very well. There are lots of pillows. The teens were happy to get the two tvs, both with cable, one in the master bedroom, and to find out that the wireless internet speed was very good.
The kitchen is fully equipped, remember to bring your own dish cloth/ rags, and soap. The kitchen table is very big, can easily sit 8. There are two long couches in the living room and a chair so lots of space to sit. We never felt crowded. Water pressure in the shower is very good, just note that hot water is on the right side! We had to call the owner once for a problem with the toilet, and someone was there within the hour to fix it, and it worked fine the rest of our stay.
We also took advantage of the BBQ that was available outside, it worked very well, an extra tank was right there when we ran out of propane. There is a nice table with 4 chairs outside where we enjoyed some of our meals. There is a big grocery store right around the corner which is very convenient.
There are many beaches close to the house, we chose to go to Nauset beach, about 30 minutes from the house, because of the big waves there. The house is also about an hour from Provincetown. Provincetown wasn't our thing, too many people/ too crowded, so we only went once. We went 3 times to Nauset Beach, which is a bit closer than Coast Guard/ Nauset Light Beach, and not quite as crowded. We biked around the neighborhood and along the Rail Road Trail, also went to Sandwich. There was also a big pond at walking distance from the house, the kids went swimming there once, the water was very warm and they enjoyed throwing a frisbee around for an hour.
We really enjoyed our stay!
