Looking for serenity and solitude? Our new 2-story mountain cabin is perched on a ridge among the aspen & pine trees, and can comfortably sleep 6. With a bear theme throughout, our brand new furnishings include a beautiful large kitchen with granite countertops, new appliances, a hand-crafted queen sized aspen log bed in the master bedroom, two eating areas (including bar seating for 4), a bright, open living room with sleeper couch, loveseat and 42” HDTV. Climb the stairs along the open peeled log railing, and enjoy peaceful views of the area from the loft, or sleep in a quiet corner bedroom with 2 twin beds. The cabin has two full bathrooms (one on the main level and one upstairs) and a full sized washer and dryer. Greet the sunrise on our large wooden deck or gaze at the beautiful night sky filled with stars!

Only about 1 ¾ hours drive from Denver or Colorado Springs, Bear Ridge is located in the South Park, Colorado area, where the meadows meet the mountains. At 9,500 feet, the Colorado sunshine fills the cabin during the day, and at night the beautiful sky opens for an amazing display of stars. Bear Ridge is ideal for that great escape from the city, relaxing with a book, and cooking that perfect pot of chili. Enjoy the fresh Rocky Mountain air with your family, or plan for a romantic get-away.

Feeling adventurous? Find unlimited opportunities for fishing, hiking, rafting on the Arkansas River, exploring abandoned gold mines, horseback riding, visiting historical museums, climbing 14ers, mountain biking, four wheeling, cross country skiing, or downhill skiing and snowboarding, all within a one hour drive or less. Bear Ridge is the perfect retreat for everyone!

Why Jane or Les chose Jefferson

With the beauty of the tall mountains that frame the high plains, we fell in love with the South Park area of Colorado. We wanted a mountain escape from city life. We discovered the secret of the Indian Mountain area, and found a place to travel to the mountains without the heavy traffic and jams of the I-70 route. Quiet, a ways from civilization, but not too far from the major cities. We chose this cabin because of beautiful and modern interiors, simple but with full amenities, light and airy, but quiet and still. We enjoyed decorating the cabin with the Bear theme, its name, the bear pictures, and bear upholstery, and even the occasional bear visit!

Amazing Cabin

Everything about this cabin is amazing! It all begins with the owners and how they treat their guests. The help Jane provides is above the call of duty, the directions and information provided prior to my arrival we perfect...she even sent me a text message warning me of road closures the day of my arrival. Now the cabin...first class accommodations, the kitchen is fully stocked to cook great meals and what a treat to have a gas grill on the deck! The living room is beautiful with a flat screen TV and tons of windows. The beds are comfortable, plenty of towels, blankets, pillows. The views are amazing and we were so close to excellent hiking trails. The next time I visit Colorado I will be booking this cabin again! Thanks Jane for making our stay perfect!

Fantastic! We loved the remote location and couldn't believe how quiet the area is. We really enjoyed sitting on the deck at night just looking at the stars. Drinking coffee and watching the sun rise was great as well.

The accommodations were all we could have asked for and we enjoyed our stay tremendously. It was clean, well laid out and had everything we needed.

We'll be back.
Thanks so much for opening your home to us and helping make our vacation one to remember.

The cabin exceeded our expectations! It was very clean, nicely decorated with a warm cabin feel and felt like home. I would definitely consider staying there again and have already recommended it to a friend.

Quiet mountain getaway

Well decorated, well appointed and euipped, comfortable, roomy, quiet. Party of three adults, arrived on Friday PM left Sunday, primary objectives of relaxation, fellowship and views accomplished. Very enjoyable stay, would recommend to friends and family.Less than an hour from Breckenridge resort area. Owner very helpful. Property very clean.
