Beautiful mountain log home located on Lake Nantahala with crystal clear water and gorgeous views. Lake Nantahala is one of the cleanest most pristine lakes in the US and 85% of its shoreline is US National Forest property. This means the lake is never crowded. Included in the rental are a Hobie Quest Fishing Kayak and an Old Towne Canoe. This is a great home for relaxing and enjoying the lake views. The log home features four bedrooms and a sleeping loft. The bedrooms and loft have a king, 2 queens, and four single beds. The lake views from the Great Room, deck, and three bedrooms are beautiful and peaceful. This is a great place to spend your vacation!

Nearby attractions are Trout fishing on the Nantahala River or White Water rafting, hiking on the Appalachian or Bartram Trails, or Golf. We are about an hour away from the Cherokee Indian Reservation and Casinos and the Great Smoky Mountain National Park. The home features a swimming dock and we have a canoe and kayak.

Lake Nantahala is a true diamond in the rough! At 3000 feet above sea level, the summers are cool and comfortable. You will probably want to use a blanket for sleeping, even in the summer. It is located between Andrews and Franklin, NC in Macon County. It is about a 2 hour drive from Atlanta, Asheville, Knoxville and Chattanooga. There are plenty of things to do in the area. The Nantahala River below Nantahala Dam is a world-famous delayed harvest trout stream. Kayaking, Canoeing and Rafting are available as well. Nantahala Lake is known for smallmouth bass, trout, walleye and it has even been stocked with salmon! The Appalachian Trail crosses Wayah Road about 8 miles from the house. The Bartram Trail is even closer.

We had an amazing time staying at this gorgeous lake home on Nantahala Lake. The Lake is the most beautiful, pristine lake I have ever seen in my life. The cabin is very well appointed and extremely comfortable to stay in. Our entire party had the best possible time staying at this wonderful home.

The owners are very pleasant to work with making the entire rental exchange as easy as possible. We can't wait to return!
