BIG BLUE - 1 BLK TO BEACH & PLEASURE PIER. ON MARDI GRAS PARADE ROUTE

I just want to say Thank you for letting us stay at your beautiful home this past weekend and thank you again for bringing me flashlights and checking on me while the power was out. I arrived at Big Blue and I there for more than an hour when the light went out for 5 hours. Someone hit the utility pole a block away(nobody was injured) and knocked out the power to a few blocks including the Pleasure Pier and FishTales. Karen and Andy come over to bring me flashlights and to check on me because I was still alone at the house. To kill the time I poped open the complimentry bottle of wine and sat on the porch and enjoy the breeze. I came for the Lone Star Bike Rally and Karen told me I was right in the middle of the action of the LSR and she was right.I had a big group of 12 and Everybody loved it! We were able to park our bikes and sit on the porch and watch all the bikes go by. We all slept compfortable even with the motorcycle traffic passing by at all hours of the night. We had the BEST location on the Island because everything we needed was within walking distance. The property was just like the pictures and descriptions on the listing page. It was clean and well maintained and I cant wait to stay at Big Blue again. I would defintely recomend Big Blue to anyone who is going to have a group of friends or family that is going to Galveston for a vacation. We did have an issue with one of the door knobs falling so we did try to fix it before we left and Karen was so kind and said she would take care of it. My friends and I cant wait till we have another opprotunity to rent Big Blue again. Karen would you please send me the listing numbers to the other properties your renting out.

Me and my family had an awesome time with renting a house verses a hotel. This was a first for us.

It turned out to be a lot more cost effective and so much more room.

The house had so much character and class. We did not want to leave.

Karen, the lady that we rented from, got us settled in when we arrived and was very nice and helpful with all our questions, she recommended grocery stores, night clubs, and restaurants.

Loved the location, I thought the Pier would be loud with us so close but we never heard a thing. But having it so close was a true benefit not to mention being able to walk to the beach.

A great vacation, a good time and a memory we will surely repeat.

My group of 12 loved the house. It was a great floor plan. Lots of space, great location! The ONLY downer was getting the house cooled. It never went below 78 degrees. But that was the only complaint.
