This three season vacation rental is a large cottage overlooking Lake Willoughby in Northeastern Vermont. This incredible crystal clear lake was formed by glaciers and resembles the Fjords of Norway. The cottage has right of way to a 50 foot private sand beach with small dock and mooring off the shore. There are several public beaches and boat accesses. Boating, kayaking, waterskiing/wakeboarding and fishing are popular lake activities. However, jet skis are prohibited. The area mountains boast cliff faces with nesting Peregrin Falcons. Many hiking trails, some challenging, offer vistas of the beautiful lake and mountains. Cyclists and mountain bikers have opportunity to access the featured Lake Willoughby Bike Loop and the nationally acclaimed Kingdom Trails System and lift-served downhill trails located in Burke 20 minutes away. The Cottage has a 64 foot front porch with sweeping views of the lake and mountains, many comfortable chairs and a picnic table that seats 10. The front porch also overlooks the 7 acre lawn complete with basketball court and play space. Just down the driveway is a quintessential Vermont country store with deli, coffee, groceries, beer/wine and pizza oven. Larger grocery stores are located in Barton 10 minutes away and in Lyndonville or Newport 25 minutes away. The cottage has a large kitchen with access to the private, cozy, rear deck which receives the morning sun. The kitchen also opens to a large dining room which seats 10 and has views of the lake. The living area opens to the front porch and has futon, DVD player, CD player, games, books and small fooseball table. Two bedrooms include a queen bed, bunkbeds and a full bath with garden tub. The other two bedrooms located on the opposite side of the cottage include a full size, a futon, a twin bed and a full bath with garden tub. The cottage is located in Edgewood Park with 9 other cottages. Westmore is 20 miles from the Canadian Border, 3-1/2 hours from Boston, 2 hours from Montreal and 2 hours from Burlington, Vermont.
