A Great Getaway

My family and I stayed here while meeting up with family who were at the nearby Lake Barkley State Resort Park. It was comfortable and clean and well equipped . It had a fairly private lot and there was abundant wildlife including turkey, fox, and deer. The location was very convenient at only three miles from the bridge to the Land Between the Lakes, and around four to the Lake Barkley State Resort Park where there is a nice swimming beach. Between the state park and the national recreation area, there is more than a week's worth of activities in the area for families, and the area also boasts some of the best fishing and hunting in the southeast.
The cabin itself had two comfortable bedrooms, and a small but very well equipped kitchen. There was a nice screened in porch and a small deck for grilling while watching the deer. It was August, so we didn't take advantage of the cozy fireplace, but it looks nice.
The owners were responsive and got back to us on email or with a return phone call with reasonable promptness. We got into the cabin without issues, and there were no significant issues during our stay.
Be aware, this is not a luxury rental, it is a cabin to get away from it all. The style is basic and homey, and it does that with excellence. Renters should also be aware that there isn't any WIFI or internet access, so come to relax, not work.

We hear the fishing was great this year, hopefully you were able to fit some into your stay. We just love the boating and jet skiing on the lake, we alway make the trip from Lake Barkley over to Kentucky Lake by water, it is a fun filled full day adventure. If you have a suggestions on what we could do to make your stay more comfortable or enjoyable they would be welcomed.
