3 - bedroom apartment on sixth floor over Malta's popular meeting place

Beautifully furnished spacious apartment with a terrace overlooking the blue mediterranean. It is located in a central area, 3-minute walk away from the beach and Malta's most popular promenade, on one side and the shopping / restaurants area on the other. Enjoy sunbathing on the rocky beach and a nice swim in crystal-clear sea during the day or stroll along the exciting promenade. In the evening you can walk around the shopping district stopping at one of the many restaurants, pubs or bars to mingle with the local crowd.

The apartment has a fully fitted kitchen, dining room and a large sitting room leading onto the terrace. The sitting room has white leather sofas. There are three bedrooms, one en-suite with shower, plus a large bathroom and laundry room equipped with washing machine. In addition there is a study with a spare sofa bed that can sleep two more persons.

Wonderful location

Wonderful location - huge spacious apartment, balcony in sun from early morning to late afternoon, perfect to sit and enjoy the lovely view of the sea.

Kitchen well equiped for cooking but better lights needed by the sink - difficult to see to wash up at night. Needs more wine glasses- still only 2 odd ones - cups/mugs mostly cracked/chipped.

Shower still small and in need of renovating.

We have stayed in a number of "owners direct" properties and usually find a few" homely touches" i.e. some basic food items left in larder by previous tenants and books, games/cards in lounge ( we usually leave a few bits behind) this was lacking here.

Wi-fi was good - easy to keep in contact with family. Contact numbers for need to be on door and in file - difficult to find in the dark when the power went off one night !!!!

All in all a great place- a few tweaks and it could be perfect.

Owner's Response: We appreciate such helpful comments which could enhance the whole experience of future guests staying in our apartment. We have since addressed all the issues raised. We have replaced the shower with a double-size unit and upgraded both bathrooms. This had already been scheduled for this winter but our guests' booking made us postpone it by three weeks. The light in the kitchen has been improved and the inventory has been refreshed. The chipped mugs were actually brought in by previous guests and should not have been left there by our cleaner. Contact numbers were already posted behind the main door but we shall replace the notice with larger fonts to make them more visible. As for basic food items our cleaner always leaves them there for future guests but sometimes the containers become unsightly or perhaps they are used up and we have no control over what guests choose to leave behind. Books are sometimes left in the apartment but these are also taken away by other guests. All in all we are glad that our guests enjoyed their stay.

GREAT, SPACIUOS AND WELL FURNISHED APARTMENT

Big kitchen and dining area with lots of cupboard, but a bit insufficient utensils if you fancy cooking (deficiency/lack of e.g.: a whisk for making souse or gravy, a decent cutting board) light above worktop (under the cupboard row) would be more suitable (because the ceiling light is unpleasantly strong).

Above the 4 ring stove is a kitchen fan (extractor) but it`s filter might not have been changed for years! The apartment is open-spaced (no doors between kitchen-dining-sitting-rooms) so when you fry bacon, onions ...the smell or cooking fumes are all over the flat.

In every water tap (kitchen & bathrooms) water comes out very sparsely (especially the hot water). The two bathrooms are great, but the shower facilities needs updating.

Master Bedroom: We only used the main bedroom as we were only the two of us (a middle aged couple). Really a great and well furnished bedroom, like the rest of the flat. Sorry to say: the blankets for the bedlinen needed cleaning. They smell!

Overall considered I would say that this is a perfect apartment for 2 couple - if you add some more wineglasses. There are only 2 wineglasses (odd ones).

As for the customer service we are very thankful to the owner Alfred Lupi who was easy to get in contact with before renting, and meanwhile (using e-mail and sms). Thank you Alfred, we really appreciated your effort.

Owner's Response: We are very glad our guests enjoyed their stay in our apartment and equally thankful for the helpful comments made. We have added a whisk and a new cutting board in the kitchen and more wine glasses!. We are leaving the ceiling light because most guests prefer more light in the kitchen and the kitchen extractor filter has been thoroughly cleaned. The hot water tap in the kitchen was found to be partly blocked by calcium sediment and has now been repaired. All blankets are regularly laundered. Thanks Unni and we hope to see you again!

We stayed at this apartment for the third time every second year. Alfred and Laura make us very welcome. The apartment is ideally located in Sliema it is big,spacious and clean. It is located right next to supermarkets,buses,ferries, cafes Restaurants and next to the beach.We highly recommend this apartment for large families or groups.The views are magnificent you can see the big ships sailing in and out of the Grand Harbour.

Extremely comfortable and convenient

The apartment in Sliema was just wonderful. Perfect location close to a great supermarket, cafes, bus stops and with a sensational view! The apartment was very well appointed...only a few little things- needed better quality linen, lousy equipment to clean the place at all ( 7 people and no cleaning for 12 days does not sit well with me!) and the shower was so small with 2 six and a half feet men! Funny thing was that the bathrrom was a wonderful size though. All in all, a fabulous stay and would thoroughly recommend.

The linen stock has since been replaced and adequate cleaning equipment placed in the apartment. The shower is a standard size but we intend to replace this winter with a larger one since the bathroom is quite large.

Perfect Location

Lovely, spacious apartment in excellent location for Sliema, sliema Ferries, St Julian's etc. good mix of local bars and restaurants close by with the option of walking down to the busier Sliema Ferries areas. Plenty to do and see, can't really fault anything here.

As regards the apartment, it is well furnished with lovely antiques and spacious kitchen and dining area. The balcony overlooking the sea and street below is a fascinating and relaxing place to sit for as long a you like. The owner Alfred was extremely helpful and took time to tell us about the area, he also organised the taxi both ways for us. If I had to find anything wrong it would be a few little hints, eg the towels had seen better days and the shower facilities in both bathrooms needs updating and modernising.

Would happily recommend to others and would book again.

Owner's Response: We welcome our guests' comments because, since we do not live in the apartment ourselves, it is important to have this feedback to ensure that we always meet expectations. A Next month all the linen will get the usual end-of-season replacement but we normally ask guests to tell us if anything is not to their satisfaction and we would be glad to remedy the situation immediately. As for the shower, we plan to modernize this during the winter months.

Fabulous spacious apartment with stunning views

This a lovely spacious apartment. We were 4 adults and we stayed for a week. The apartment was clean and well stocked with all the essentials. We were picked up at the airport and that worked really well because we were not sure where we were going.

The apartment has lovely views of the sea and it is just a matter of crossing the road for a swim, what could be better!

I was concerned about there being no air conditioning as we were there at the hottest time of year but the fans work a treat and there is a lovely cross draught when the front and back balcony doors are open. I much prefer this to air conditioning.

Public transport is great. Lots of shops close by. Good supermarket around the corner. People are lovely.

Bottom line, I would go back and I would highly recommend.

There is a wide range of restaurants also within walking distance catering for different cuisine as well as prices. The apartment is right on the beautiful promenade along the coastline - very popular with the locals for the evening walks for all ages.
