Casa Valle de los Angeles is a comfortable, traditional home with sprawling views of San Miguel from every part of the property. Within an easy walking distance from the Jardin (3 blocks as the crow flies) dining out and shopping is easy to get to. Cabs are prolific so getting back home after a large Mexican luncheon is just as easy and very inexpensive.

Our House keeper, Julie, is an excellent cook and will enjoy making anything from her own personal menu. Breakfast may be prepared and served in the mornings at the time of your preference, and if you want to stay in for dinner you only need to arrange it. (The cost of your food and beverages are not included in our home's the rental fee).

We have many guests who return each year to Valle de los Angeles as their home away from home. Each suite has a fireplace, its own bathroom and may be locked seperately from the rest of the house.

The pool may be heated at your request.

The rates shown are for the main house and it's 2 bedroom suites for 2 couples. Use of the casita is available upon extra request but for your privacy will otherwise remain unused during your stay.

About The Owner

The very first day that I looked out of my hotel room window, I turned to my husband and said, 'we need to buy a home here.' Just that fast, I felt like I was home. San Miguel is just one of those places where it feels like anything is possible.

Why The Owner chose San Miguel de Allende

We wanted a great excuse to come back again and again. Whenever I do get to visit our home in San Miguel, I swear that the next time I will stay for a month.

What makes this house unique

Our cook and housekeeper, Yuli, is a huge part of why I relax so quickly when I'm in San Miguel. Preparing meals every day is just part of my normal life, and when I'm in San Miguel I can literally say to her, ' you decide what to cook every day. I give her the money, she does the shopping and the cooking and I don't have to lift a finger.'

She loves to cook, so we are both very happy. I always encourage anyone who stays at our home to just let her do their cooking; just leave it all up to her. Just be aware that outside of preparing breakfast, other meals are considered extra work, so please consider this when tipping at the end of your stay. Naturally, as with any other rental, the cost of your food and beverages are not included in the rental fee.

There is nothing like being able to let all that go and be in your own home at the same time.

The views are wonderful. Even if I don't leave home for a couple of days I feel spacious and open because you can see for miles, and yet everything in town is just a short walk away. Life seems so do-able here, and stress flies away in short order.

This property and house are simply gorgeous with a most spectacular view of the town and of evening sunsets. It was a pleasure to be welcomed into a house that comes equipped with lovely linens, a fully equipped kitchen and dining room, the most comfortable rooms, very good beds and accommodating staff. The owner is the most receptive we have encountered in several years of renting in SMA. She responds promptly and clearly to any of our questions. Yes there is traffic noise but it does fade into the background and yes the climb up and down is steep but there are buses and taxis - and we do enjoy the exercise.

Inadequate heating to compensate for cold weather.The house came with two tiny heaters were provided on in each bedroom, Only the master bathroom had a heater.Wiring was antiquated and left us without lights and heat for 1 day and a half. Not as easy a walk to the center of town . The property was clean and well kept by the housekeeper. The phone and internet connections were excellent. The views from the property were spectacular. The ad was misleading as to the inclusion of breakfast with the rental. Any meals were extra.Had the heating been adequate we would have given it a higher rating. This house probably would also hve obtained a higher rating if it was later in year.

Thank you for the tip about the meals sounding like they are included. I have corrected the default setting I noticed in the VRBO settings. Hadn't seen these before. To be clear, food preparation by our housekeeper is included if a guest wishes it and is pointed out because this in most often not a given when renting a home. However, you are correct that unlike B&B's, renting a home does not include food and beverages. I completely missed the fact that you were expecting food to be included. I believe this is clear in the contract, but I will confirm that it is.
As for the rest, I do apologize profusely. By all accounts, it was an unusually cold winter this year. I expect that as with the rest of the world, 'odd' weather will continue, so I have since purchased electric blankets and added better heaters.
It was the perfect storm of home-owner issues that occurred during your stay. Though they have all been addressed during (as well as on the heels of) your departure, I know that it affected the quality of your vacation. I also realize that you had been so looking forward to this time away. I am deeply sorry about the inconvenience and having to have repairs done during your vacation time.
If you would consider it, we would like to extend to you a week at our home, with my compliments in either 2015 or 2016.

Love, love, love

Where to begin. The house is very comfortable, and I truly love the traditional feel and how it opens onto the garden and the gorgeous view from everywhere. Julie, the housekeeper, is helpful and lovely. She totally spoiled us. We will come back because we relaxed so much. I do everything when I'm at home and at Valle de Los Angeles I felt cared for and spoiled. It was just a very, very special time. I recommend this charming home to anyone who wants to be close to the center of town, but still be able to look out over San Miguel and into the distance, and know that if you want lunch at home all you need to do is arrange for it. Everything is just so easy.

No kidding! This is a MUST stay property. We did not want to leave the house. Stayed there 10 days and had a very relaxing time and enjoyed every minute of it. The location is great and the view extraordinary. The help/chef was an added bonus and we were absolutely spoiled. The food was delicious and the help made it totally stress free. This house is very clean and well maintained. I recommend this property and will be back for sure.

Beautiful Property

This is a gorgeous property. Theresa is a wonderful addition and an amazing chef. We were extremely cold and had difficulty locating any heaters, but the cold was unexpected and unusual. Also, the owner was very responsive when we brought this to her attention. The location is very good, walking distance to the square and other sights, but lots of very steep hills. Overall, we would definitely stay here again.

Magical Stay!

What a dream house! Upon our arrival, Teresa showed us around~we were so impressed by this wonderful home! Upon entering, the doors opened and we had a FABULOUS view of the city on the open porch, which is where we spent most of our time. The bedrooms were perfect, cozy and comfortable. LOVED the tile work and uniqueness of this Mexican haven. I would HIGHLY recommend staying here in this perfect location. 7-8 minute walk to the square where so much is going on! The people are warm and friendly. Felt totally at home here, and can't wait to come back. You are missing out if you haven't been to San Miguel de Allende!
