Self catering one bedroom, spacious, well equiped apartment

The spacious, well equipped penthouse apartment with terrific, uninterrupted views of the sea & mountains from either the open roof terrace or 'breakfast patio!. The apartment 5 minute’s walk from the beach which is supplied with sun loungers and palm shades. The Apartment is Air Conditioned (A/C Units provide heating during cooler times) in main lounge/diner and bedroom. Main bedroom is en-suite shower! A hand basin & W.C. also fitted. The family bathroom is fitted with a bath & shower over, W.C. & hand basin. Both en-suite & family bathroom have electrical (110/230v) sockets for electric shavers, toothbrushes etc. A large private terrace overlooks the sea, giving magnificent view of mountains. Terrace furniture comprises of table + 4 chairs, 4 loungers. An attractively sculptured & safe pool is at the rear of the Apartment and is one of 6 pools on this user friendly complex.

Additional information. -TBV + Apartment: It has come to my attention a new Bistro has opened not much more than five minute walk through the complex or the surrounding tarmac path. The Bistro has a good menu and an alcohol licence. The opening hours are from 08:00 until midnight. The Bistro is closed on a Monday.The Bistro does a take away service!

A small table and two chairs have been provided on the ‘breakfast room ‘veranda giving splendid views of the Mediterranean. These are well placed for you to enjoy the superb views of mountain and sea whilst have a refreshing drink or a meal. To sit on the roof terrace watching the evening sun setting over the clear blue sea is a delight to behold!

I wish to introduce myself Thomas Campbell and it is my aim to ensure your stay is as comfortable and trouble free as possible. I have endeavoured to make my apartment as user friendly as I can and I hope I have catered for all needs.

I trust you will enjoy yourself but unfortunately, like many establishments, I have laid down a number of simple rules to follow:

(1) No smoking within the Apartment. Please use ash trays provided on the patios or roof terrace.

(2) Be conscious of others on the Complex and respect their wanting to enjoy the peace of Turtle Bay Village.

(3) Treat the Apartment as you would wish yours to be treated.

Environmental awareness:: Please consider the environment:

(1) The Air Conditioning Units are very costly to run! It would be very much appreciated if common

sense was used when running the A/C Units and were run with windows and doors shut and turned to off

when Apartment is vacated.

(2) The hot water tank immersion heater is only necessary to be turned on for a maximum of one hour to give a

tank of hot water. In the summer months Solar Energy will be enough to give the tank the initial hot water

supply, especially for the evening.

(3) Turn unnecessary lighting and other electrical appliances to off when not being used.

About Thomas Campbell

A little about myself. A family orientated chap who can boast of two grown up daughters who are very successful in their own right. Between them, they have produce two gorgeous grandchildren. Initially I was born in the North East, Cullercoats, but having served 21 years in the Royal Navy, (17 years as a Submariner) leaving in the rate of C.P.O. (Mechanical Artificer) I settled on the south coast. I am still working and own a number of one bedroom flats which supplement my meagre wage. I fell in love with the peace and tranquillity which is to be found in North Cyprus and am more than happy for others to enjoy this beautiful island! On my many visits to T.R.N.C. I can often be found on the challenging Golf Course, swimming in the sea or visiting the many historic sites that is when I am not just chilling by the pool or sunning myself on the roof terrace.

North Cyprus is what I believe Britain was during the 1950’s. The time when people were friendly and would ask you in for a cup of tea and a chat! There is no rushing around fretfully trying and failing to get things done!

The site that is Turtle Bay Village is one of friendliness and helpfulness. The North Cypriot people are kind, very helpful and happy. No sullen ‘get out of my way’ attitude. English is widely spoken. The Cypriot people are more than happy to help. It is a rare mixture of the good parts of the ‘Western world’ and the good parts of the ‘Eastern world.’ coming together!

Kyrenia Harbour is delightful place to sit and wile away the hours and not be disturbed by some drunken yobbos who thinks the world owes them a living!

What makes this apartment unique

My apartment has magnificent and uninterrupted views of the Mediterranean! There are times when sat on the roof terrace with the only sound is that of a few birds flying by. Peace and tranquillity. What better way to start your day than sitting on the veranda with your breakfast watching the blue Mediterranean? If it is peace and quiet and totally relaxing holiday you need, I can think of no better place than my apartment on Turtle Bay.

Panoramic Sea View

This is one of the flats which has the best view of the coast and the sun set. There is no structure between this flat and the sea which means uninterrupted full panoramic view of the coast. At night it is even possible to see the lights of Girne sparkling at a distance. The shaded balcony and the shaded terrace with BBQ are very pleasant. The flat is rather new, has airconditioners and fans in every room and it is nicely decorated. It was clean when we checked in. We had a little problem because there was no carafe for water and we had bought a big 20 litre water bottle. ( I recommend buying 1,5 litre bottles of water if there is a short stay.) Otherwise kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need.The swimming pool is just behind the property which is very convenient. With the golf club, diving club, beach, turtle waching closeby the location is good and there are many historical sites around Girne. Tom was very helpful during the reservation procedure. We wish to thank Tom. We enjoyed our stay, wish to stay again, and recommend this flat.

Sunshine in September

Spent ten days here in September. Warm and sunny, with beautiful sunsets viewed from the property's balcony. Apartment is generously sized, and on our arrival everything was spotlessly clean and all equipment in good working order with plenty of cooking utensils for those days when we preferred to eat in. The shared pool is well kept. You do need a car to see the sights nearby. Good central location for days out to Kyrenia, Famagusta, Nicosia, or any of the castles/museums/other places of interest. Nearest sandy beach (about 5 minutes drive) is protected as it's a turtle nesting site, so completely unspoilt (but there is a cafe/bar just off the beach). We had a fantastic meal out at the 'Lemon Tree' restaurant on the road to Kyrenia. Our travel to the apartment was via Larnaca, using a car hire company (A-One) for the transfers. Good quality car and the transfer went smoothly both ways - we didn't even have to get out of the car - the driver handled passports and visas for us. We enjoyed our stay and recommend this property.

Perfect lazy holiday

We stayed in this beautiful apartment,it is exactly as the photos show.The beach and pool couldn't be closer,the beach is very hard under foot(rocks & pebbles) so use the boardwalk provided and access the sea this way.Close to Kyrenia and the beautiful village at Bellapais,the turtle project is worth a visit too.Had a wonderful rest here,a very quiet site.

Fantastic Views

I have recently returned from a wonderful and peaceful holiday in what I can only describe as an absolute delightful apartment in North Cyprus. The fantastic views of the beautiful Mediterranean Sea through the large floor to ceiling windows, or whilst sitting on the terrace, were a joy. Watching the sunset on the roof terrace with a glass of wine was superb. The spacious apartment was very well furnished and equipped and catered for all my needs. The complex, which houses the apartment, is well laid out and all the amenities are close at hand. The nearby Bistro, which is a short walk away, is very friendly as are the people I met through my stay. The food served is a good but basic menu of North Cyprus. The nearby pool looked very inviting but unfortunately it was a bit too early in the year to take a dip. I would suggest hiring a car so you can explore further and see the other delights North Cyprus holds. I would definitely recommend this apartment and very much look forward to returning at a later date.

Four weeks stay in above shown apartment.

Me and my husband stayed in this apartment through out November. We will absolutely from the bottom of our hearts recommend this apartment to anybody.
When drawing the curtains every morning and then having the view of the Mediterranean, and nothing else, straight into the livingroom was the best start of the day and far above our expectations. Sitting on the verranda by sunset was maybe our favourite time of the day. The roof terrace was our second "livingroom".
The apartment was clean and obviously very well maintained.
It was well equipped for our needs.
The owner was present when we arrived, and he was providing the best customer service.
The little supermarket in the village provided us with most of what we needed.
The bistro gave us a nice break when we did'nt want to cook ourselves, also to go just for a drink. The bistro runner was a very nice young man, very, very service minded. He became our taxi driver, as there was none in the village, and we did not rent a car. He took us to and from the golf course, took us to the nearest town, Kyrenia (Girne), and was an excellant guide on touring around the northern part og Cyprus.
The agency presenting this propperty said it was only 500 m from Turtle Bay Village to Korenium Golf Course. That is far from reality. It took us 35 min. to walk fast on a very busy road with no pavement. That was the only misleading information we had got from HomeAway. Well, the advertisment also said the apartment was 346 m2. We think one third of that is more correct (Terrace and balkony incl).
We will absolutely want to come back to Turtle Bay Village and to this apartment.

2nd Visit to North Cyprus May 2009

This was my 2nd visit to Turtle Bay. The time spent there is very relaxing with beautiful views from the apartment.
Turtle Bay Village makes a good base to explore North Cyprus and has everything one could need for a holiday close to hand, pool, supermarket, bar etc.
I would recommend a car for the stay as this makes exploring North Cyprus an adventure that can be done at your own pace and a night or 2 spent at the Karpaz is worth the drive. As North Cyprus is quiet there does not appear to be a lot of public transport available. However, the roads are quiet and towns well linked with English road signs so it easy to find your way and explore.
I would definitely return to Turtle Bay, the apartment is a home from home with a breath-taking view from the roof terrace. The terrace has a wonderful BBQ and many evenings can be spent watching the beautiful sunset from a prime location. Along with this and the stunning scenery and hospitality of North Cyprus i think I will be returning for many years to come..

It gives the opportunity to relax in a typical Mediterranean atmosphere or for the more adventurous, there are activities ranging from diving to pot-holing, paragliding to painting, cruising to horse riding. User friendly and value for money North Cyprus epitomises everything you would expect from a very hospitable and welcoming people who live life at a relaxed pace! Golf: Korenium Golf and Country Club is approximately 1km away. This splendid club offers many attractions and is very well presented. It boasts an 18 hole golf course, which is a test to any calibre golfer, practice range and a short 'academy' course.

Children are very much welcome in what is a very safe and child friendly complex, it must be noted, access to roof terrace is via a spiral staircase which may not be appropriate to the very young, infirm or those who are a bit wobbly on their feet! 6 on site swimming pools.
