' A SALT WATERFRONT PARADISE WITH AWESOME PANORAMIC VIEWS!'

Beaufort Cottage Rental Photos and Description

3 bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms, sleeps 6

We are located on a wide body of water called the NORTH RIVER... however it is not a river at all, but more like a small tidal Bay located a very short distance from the open Ocean and protected by barrier Islands. The property is very secluded and features 220 ft. Shoreline with a 160ft. Pier, Gazebo and a 10x30ft. Dock at the end of the Pier. Great for Fishing, Boating, Windsurfing, Swimming...

The home is bright and airy, immaculately clean and comfortably furnished with a 'beachy' atmosphere. All the rooms have water views! There are 3 Bedrooms each with Queen size beds, 2 full Baths and an open floor plan with Kitchen, Dining and Living room all together. It also features a spacious Sun room plus a very large wrap around deck... and Breakfast on the Waterview Sun Porch is really very special!

We are located just outside of Town for complete privacy and relaxation on 2 very private acres with no close neighbors

Beaufort, NC was voted 'America's Coolest Small Town' in 2012... and indeed it is!

Privacy and Sunsets

This house exceeded all our expectations, including Dinah, the dog. She loved using the ramp to get in the house. This time of year, the sun room was amazing, it warmed up every day, and beautiful sunsets every evening. The dock with the gazebo adds a really interesting element to the property, being able to go out over the water at high and low tide, at sunset or even at night. We found the layout of the house very convenient, and the kitchen was arranged well and easy to use. The location is set back from the road and very private, really nice for the safety of the dog. It's conveniently located to all the amenities as well, 5 miles into Beaufort. We especially enjoyed going out to Cape Lookout National Seashore, with the lighthouse and the abandoned but preserved village out there. We saw the horses on Shackleford Banks. We even saw porpoises pop out of the water while eating lunch at the Front Street Grill. Fort Macon State Park is not far, and has great beaches and walking. The main attraction, though, is the house itself and its setting. I think I could have spent all my time in the sunroom, reading, watching the wind and the waves, and the sunsets. We saw pelicans, ducks, ibises, egrets, and of course, sea gulls from the house. It was a wonderful break from the horrible winter we had this year up north. Russ and Brenda, thanks for being attentive but not intrusive! We would love to come back soon. Thank you.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Bountiful by the Sea. The house is exactly as pictured, very comfortable & spacious & private - makes for a great vacation spot! We enjoyed the most beautiful sunsets right from the house, a perfect ending to our day. We also enjoyed meeting Russ & Brenda, they are eager to offer area recommendations & we thank you for sharing your beautiful house.
Owner's Response: Thank you Barbara and Doug for your warm Review. We were Blessed to have met you and we are looking forward to seeing you again. Come back soon to the warm waters of Carolina.

October River Retreat

  • Submitted: Oct 24, 2013

Bountiful-by-the Sea in October was perfect for a week's reunion with good friends, also retired. The house was spacious, very clean, well-appointed and maintained. The ramp entrance and single floor plan was especially convenient for us "seniors."
With temperatures in the 70s , the grand sun porch was ideal for watching sunsets over the river, egrets, herons, dolphins, jumping fish, and even a river otter. Our genial hosts, the Sanborns, provided CDs and DVDs, and excellent recommendations for restaurants , museums, and other points of interest. We ate all our lunches out, and enjoyed the Front St. Grill, Spouter Inn, Ruddy Duck, Clawson's, and General Store ice cream. Excursions to the NC Aquarium, Fort Macon, Harker's Island Museum, Beaufort's Maritime Museum and Waterbug tour are not to be missed.
We can recommend this beautiful retreat to all in need of relaxation, or just a change of scenery. We were delighted to share it with friends who, in turn, shared our enthusiasm.

We were so happy to stay at Bountiful. The location is perfect -- quiet and secluded, but only a 5-miute drive to town. The house is wonderful -- we felt as though we were staying with friends'. Every need we had was anticipated. The house is well-stocked, and we particularly like the pantry items that are available. What a nice touch, and something that is lacking in many places we stay. We so appreciated being able to bring our dog, Coco -- she had a great time exploring the property and watching the birds. I highly recommend Bountiful, and we would certainly return for another stay. Thank you!
Owner's Response: Dear Friends,

We are very grateful for the wonderful Review and we are anxious to see you again in the near future. We have had some of the most wonderful guests and I'm sorry that we did not have a chance to meet you in person. We are looking forward to having stay with us again in the near future.

Unhurried and unspoiled historic Beaufort-by-the-Sea is considered a part of the southern Outer Banks located on the Crystal Coast. Beaufort has just been voted the 3rd prettiest Town in NC... it abounds in early American charm with old Sea Captains homes, a Historical district, and a Boardwalk right in the center of town with Sailboats and Yachts moored right along the Main Street. There are several very fine Restaurants, Gift shops and Museums. Blackbeard the Pirate's home is also located here as well as the shipwreck of his famous Pirate Ship 'Queen Anne's Revenge'. Lots to do... you can watch wild Horses graze on the barrier islands... take scenic drives on the Crystal Coast with its unspoiled white sand beaches... visit Down East, Cape Lookout Lighthouse, Harkers Island or drive an incredibly scenic 30 miles to Cedar Island for Horseback riding in the Surf... or take a restful 2 hour Ferry crossing to Ocracoke, and the Outer Banks.
