' A SALT WATERFRONT PARADISE WITH AWESOME PANORAMIC VIEWS!'

Beaufort Cottage Rental Photos and Description

3 bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms, sleeps 6

We are located on a wide body of water called the NORTH RIVER... however it is not a river at all, but more like a small tidal Bay located a very short distance from the open Ocean and protected by barrier Islands. The property is very secluded and features 220 ft. Shoreline with a 160ft. Pier, Gazebo and a 10x30ft. Dock at the end of the Pier. Great for Fishing, Boating, Windsurfing, Swimming...

The home is bright and airy, immaculately clean and comfortably furnished with a 'beachy' atmosphere. All the rooms have water views! There are 3 Bedrooms each with Queen size beds, 2 full Baths and an open floor plan with Kitchen, Dining and Living room all together. It also features a spacious Sun room plus a very large wrap around deck... and Breakfast on the Waterview Sun Porch is really very special!

We are located just outside of Town for complete privacy and relaxation on 2 very private acres with no close neighbors

Beaufort, NC was voted 'America's Coolest Small Town' in 2012... and indeed it is!

Guestbook comments from the owner
If you have never stayed at Bountiful for your vacation, you do not know what you are missing. It is Heaven on earth to me and my husband. It is so tranquil and peaceful and yet is still within good driving distance of anything you would like to do while on vacation. The fishing is so good and you have the pier to yourself and don't have to fight a crowd. The sunsets in the evening across the water is the most beautiful picture you will ever see, and just reminds you that God creates beautiful things also for us to enjoy. To make your vacation even more fabulous, are the owners, Russ and Brenda. They are the most precious two people you will ever meet and will go out of there way to make everything as perfect for you as possible. This is the place I have searched for all my life and I am so thankful God allowed my husband and I the privilege of finding this place and meeting such great people.Pack your bags and give it a try. You will never regret it, I promise you.

Owners Comments: This is the 7th time Sherry and Will rented from us. They have become 2 of our dearest friends. Many Thanks for your very kind comments.

Indeed a Saltwater Paradise

  • 5 of 5
What a beautiful place to relax with no worries. Although we had many options to explore the NC coast, we were very happy to just chill at Bountiful most of the time.We did have a chance to go to Shackleford Banks and see the horses. What a treat that was!Fishing and crabbing at the house was what we did the most. The house was super clean and had everything you could want or ask for. Russ and Brenda were very very nice and helpful.Although "Arthur" ran us off a little early, we still had a wonderful time. Our Grandkids had so much fun fishing and exploring along the beach. We wish good health to Russ and Brenda and thank you for everything.God bless.

We greatly enjoyed our stay. The place was just as descripted and even more. It was wonderful to meet Russ and Brenda, the owners, are great people and very helpful. Convenient to all attractions in the area but the best was just relaxing in the atmosphere of the property. We would highly recommend this place to anyone.

Too fabulous to summarize!

  • 5 of 5
Superb location with a beautiful view and well decorated as if it had been decorated just for our stay. The house and the yard are meticulously maintained by experts. It was wonderful having the pantry stocked with staples so the first day you could stay and enjoy your vacation, without having to go to the store! The location was perfect for us! We felt like we were on our own little oasis. Enjoyed catching crabs and fishing off the dock. Gillie, our dog was perfectly at home immediately. We enjoyed staying there so much that the boat stayed in the driveway instead of on the water as planned! Most importantly, we made new lifelong friends with the owners, Brenda and Russ, and cannot wait to return. Thanks for sharing your paradise with us!

Don't pass up an opportunity to stay here!

Don't pass up an opportunity to stay here!

This was undoubtedly the nicest cottage we have ever rented - and we have stayed at many all along the eastern coast from northern Maine to South Carolina. The property is well taken care of and furnished with comfortable and very clean furniture. The kitchen is very well stocked with nice dishes, a great assortment of pots and pans, and a pantry with basic items such as spices, sugar, flour, plastic wrap, napkins, paper towels, etc. The beds are very comfortable also! The weather was not kind to us during our month's stay, however we were content to enjoy the cottage - reading on the sun porch, watching the movies left for renters' use, and simply relaxing and enjoying the beautiful property and river. As an avid bird watcher I was thrilled to see many species of waterfowl during our stay - the birds change with the tides! - and we also loved watching the bluebirds, finches and sparrows in the yard. At low tide you can walk along the shore and investigate the tidal pools and poke among the discarded oyster shells. Be sure to watch the Osprey hunting for fish, the egrets and herons hunting in the adjacent salt marsh, and the pelicans as they fly over in formation. If you love nature you'll definitely enjoy a stay here - that the cottage is so welcoming and comfortable is a huge bonus!

Owner's Response: Dear Mona and Will:
We very much appreciate the review of your stay at Bountiful this Spring.
While the weather this year was not as welcoming to early season Guests as in previous years it was good to hear how much you appreciated the comforts of the cottage as well as the surrounding natural beauty of Bountiful. Also, we wish to thank you for the recording of the birds and water fowl sighted during your stay. We will be providing a copy of the lists in our Guest Book for others to share.
Last but not least we appreciate your genteel use of the cottage and how nice you left everything on your departure.

Privacy and Sunsets

  • 5 of 5
This house exceeded all our expectations, including Dinah, the dog. She loved using the ramp to get in the house. This time of year, the sun room was amazing, it warmed up every day, and beautiful sunsets every evening. The dock with the gazebo adds a really interesting element to the property, being able to go out over the water at high and low tide, at sunset or even at night. We found the layout of the house very convenient, and the kitchen was arranged well and easy to use. The location is set back from the road and very private, really nice for the safety of the dog. It's conveniently located to all the amenities as well, 5 miles into Beaufort. We especially enjoyed going out to Cape Lookout National Seashore, with the lighthouse and the abandoned but preserved village out there. We saw the horses on Shackleford Banks. We even saw porpoises pop out of the water while eating lunch at the Front Street Grill. Fort Macon State Park is not far, and has great beaches and walking. The main attraction, though, is the house itself and its setting. I think I could have spent all my time in the sunroom, reading, watching the wind and the waves, and the sunsets. We saw pelicans, ducks, ibises, egrets, and of course, sea gulls from the house. It was a wonderful break from the horrible winter we had this year up north. Russ and Brenda, thanks for being attentive but not intrusive! We would love to come back soon. Thank you.

Owner's Response: Dirk, we appreciate the very complimentary review! You were our first Guests of the 2014 Season. Though our Spring and milder temps arrived later than usual this year we are pleased to hear you experienced so many historic and scenic sites in and around Beaufort. Most of all we appreciate your compliments of Bountiful's house and location. Our goal is to provide our Guests with good accommodations and privacy so you will feel right at home...and as you experienced and enjoyed, Nature provides the rest! We indeed hope you and Dinah will return to Coastal North Carolina and visit us again.
Many Thanks,

Wonderful Escape!

  • 5 of 5
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Bountiful by the Sea. The house is exactly as pictured, very comfortable & spacious & private - makes for a great vacation spot! We enjoyed the most beautiful sunsets right from the house, a perfect ending to our day. We also enjoyed meeting Russ & Brenda, they are eager to offer area recommendations & we thank you for sharing your beautiful house.

Unhurried and unspoiled historic Beaufort-by-the-Sea is considered a part of the southern Outer Banks located on the Crystal Coast. Beaufort has just been voted the 3rd prettiest Town in NC... it abounds in early American charm with old Sea Captains homes, a Historical district, and a Boardwalk right in the center of town with Sailboats and Yachts moored right along the Main Street. There are several very fine Restaurants, Gift shops and Museums. Blackbeard the Pirate's home is also located here as well as the shipwreck of his famous Pirate Ship 'Queen Anne's Revenge'. Lots to do... you can watch wild Horses graze on the barrier islands... take scenic drives on the Crystal Coast with its unspoiled white sand beaches... visit Down East, Cape Lookout Lighthouse, Harkers Island or drive an incredibly scenic 30 miles to Cedar Island for Horseback riding in the Surf... or take a restful 2 hour Ferry crossing to Ocracoke, and the Outer Banks.
