Photos and Description of the Beaufort vacation cottage rental
3 bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms, sleeps 6

We are located on a wide body of water called the NORTH RIVER... however it is not a river at all, but more like a small tidal Bay located a very short distance from the open Ocean and protected by barrier Islands. The property is very secluded and features 220 ft. Shoreline with a 160ft. Pier, Gazebo and a 10x30ft. Dock at the end of the Pier. Great for Fishing, Boating, Windsurfing, Swimming...

The home is bright and airy, immaculately clean and comfortably furnished with a 'beachy' atmosphere. All the rooms have water views! There are 3 Bedrooms each with Queen size beds, 2 full Baths and an open floor plan with Kitchen, Dining and Living room all together. It also features a spacious Sun room plus a very large wrap around deck. The home is wheelchair accessible also. We are located just outside of Town for complete privacy and relaxation on 2 very private acres with no close neighbors

Beaufort, NC was voted 'America's Coolest Small Town' in 2012... and indeed it is!

Unhurried and unspoiled historic Beaufort-by-the-Sea is considered a part of the southern Outer Banks located on the Crystal Coast. Beaufort has just been voted the 3rd prettiest Town in NC... it abounds in early American charm with old Sea Captains homes, a Historical district, and a Boardwalk right in the center of town with Sailboats and Yachts moored right along the Main Street. There are several very fine Restaurants, Gift shops and Museums. Blackbeard the Pirate's home is also located here as well as the shipwreck of his famous Pirate Ship 'Queen Anne's Revenge'. Lots to do... you can watch wild Horses graze on the barrier islands... take scenic drives on the Crystal Coast with its unspoiled white sand beaches... visit Down East, Cape Lookout Lighthouse, Harkers Island or drive an incredibly scenic 30 miles to Cedar Island for Horseback riding in the Surf... or take a restful 2 hour Ferry crossing to Ocracoke, and the Outer Banks.

A Bountiful Experience

5 of 5
Submitted: May 13, 2013 Stayed: April 2013
We loved staying at the "Bountiful". The cozy cottage was perfect in everyway and we can't wait for our next trip. The Beaufort area has everything you need, great shopping and great dining. If you choose not to venture farther, you certainly wouldn't need to, there is plenty to do right in Beaufort. However, we love to venture, so the surrounding areas are nice as well. On days when we stayed at the cottage, we watched dolphin, stingrays and a variety of waterfowl including the Common Loon. Also, a variety of fisherman! And of course, you can do your own fishing from the dock. A beautiful place to be at sunset and a place to enjoy your morning coffee.
Owner's Response: Thank you, dear friends, for your kind words of appreciation. We try hard to please our guests and we are very grateful when we get such encouraging reviews.
We hope to see you again in the near future for another Bountiful vacation.

Bountiful by the sea

Our stay at Bountiful was delightful.. House was sparkling clean. Lovely kitchen. All appliances worked perfectly. Plenty of dishes, glasses, pots and pans. Bedrooms and baths comfortable. Wonderful water views from every window. Sun porch great- spent many relaxing hours there. Fishing, kayaking, shopping and lots of restaurants near by. Lots of info at Bountiful on attractions. Plus
owners Brenda and Russ happy to help and advise. Lovely people. Will tell family and friends go to Bountiful by the sea.
Owner's Response: Thank you our newest friends from New England. It was our pleasure to be a part of your vacation memories. We will be looking forward to seeing you again soon.

Bountiful Blessings,

A Little Bit of Heaven June 2012

5 of 5
Submitted: November 6, 2012 Stayed: June 2012
We arrived and were greeted by our hosts Russ and Brenda Sanborn. I say hosts, not owners because they were so very gracious. They made sure that everything was top notch. Even if they had not filled us in there is a binder inside that has everything that one could possibly need. Even DVD's were indexed!
The house itself was neat, clean , nicely decorated, and truly made one feel at home. The views from all of the rooms was spectacular. The screened in porch was a real favorite of ours. Some dolphins entertained us one morning.
We brought our 6 year old Granddaughter who is already planning next year there. It was no video games occupying her time. Catching minnows, crabbing, fishing and just exploring clam shells occupied her days. The famous Children's saying of "I'm bored" never crossed her lips.
She is as anxious as us to go back and has already checked the calendar after asking me to bring up the pictures on the computer.
The Core Sound Museum on Harkers Island located just a few miles away,is a real treasure and a wonderful way to spend some time.
As private as the house is, it is so central to whatever one likes, be it the beach, fishing charters, sightseeing, everything is a within a reasonable distance. We are so ready to return and make new memories.
We are so ready to return a
Owner's Response: Carol and Virgil,
Thank you for your most beautiful Review. We are looking forward to seeing you and your family again this Summer. The sea shells are waiting, as are the fiddler crabs and minnows... and we noticed the Dolphins are practicing a new routine just for you!

We are so looking forward to seeing you and your daughter and your sweet little grand daughter again real soon.

Bountiful Blessings Dear Friends,

Russ and Brenda

Wonderful 31st Anniversary!

5 of 5
Submitted: November 5, 2012 Stayed: October 2012
We stayed at Bountiful for our 31st anniversary. Both the home and the area of Beaufort were far beyond our expectations. Russ and Brenda are marvelous hosts and their attention to detail much appreciated. We were gifted with champagne and restaurant recommendations for our "special night". We fished from the pier and relaxed on the sunporch, watching the birds and the tides change. The sunsets were out of this world! We loved the historic wharf area of Beaufort, which we found to have the best seafood restaurants on the Outer Banks. The Maritime Museum and historic home tour were enjoyable and informative. We took a day trip to visit nearby Fort Macon on Atlantic Beach, and another day trip, by ferry, to Cape Lookout Lighthouse and its beautiful, pristine (and deserted) beach. We take an anniversary trip every year and Bountiful by the Sea was truly one of the best ever! You should go!

Thank you dear friends for your kind words. Come back soon!

"Bountiful" is only the beginning of how you will feel when you arrive. The week I was there was the most relaxing week I have had in a very long time. Every morning I would sit on the sun porch with my coffee and watch the sun rise and the sunsets were breath taking. Russ and Brenda are so great and were available at anytime. I feel I have two new friends. I took my dogs (with permission) and watched them play in the water and was so curious about the fish we caught and pelicans in flight. Even the dogs were very rested. If you need a quite getaway but close to town, let me encourage you to go to Beaufort and stay at "Bountiful by the Sea". My thanks to Russ and Brenda for your kindness and efforts.

Owner's Response: Thank You Carol... It is a joy to provide a place of peace and refuge from the ravages of daily life. We are looking forward to your return. May your life be filled with Bountiful Blessings.

Russ and Brenda
