Wimbledon is a very popular exclusive residential area and has a lot to offer apart from its famous tennis courts. A 10 minute walk will take you to Wimbledon village with excellent shops, a small supermarket and numerous restaurants offering different types of cuisine.

The flat (No.3, Kingsdown) is at the corner of Ridgway and The Downs. There are entrances from both Ridgway (front) and the Downs (back). There is an entry phone on the back entrance. This is a ground floor flat.
All windowns are double glazed and lockable. Banham sliding grills are fitted at all windows. Heating and water by gas.
As you enter the spacious hallway, you will be welcomed to a light, open-plan living area (19ft2 x 15ft7, 5.9m x 4.8m) which has been decorated with a cream carpet and white walls. The spacious living dining room has a 3-seater sofa, two chairs and a separate dining area with a dark wooden table with six chairs. A TV, DVD player, stereo and video player provide entertainment options.
A balcony off the sitting room attracts the sun in the afternoon.

The immediate Attractions
Whether you are in London for the theatre, sightseeing, museums, visiting friend or a reunion, this superb flat by Wimbledon Village is what you need.
The great open spaces of Wimbledon Common are reached in a 5 minute walk. Ideal for walking, cycling and jogging. After your exercise come to enjoy a typical English pub lunch at one of the three excellent pubs in the neighbourhood
But if you wish to go to the cinema or the theatre, Wimbledon is not short of these attractions. All the main Cinema chains have their houses in Wimbledon. As to Wimbledon Theatre has a glittering reputation as a premier theatrical venue in South West London. The Grade II listed building consists of a beautiful Edwardian auditorium decorated in both Georgian and Italian renaissance styles across three levels of seating. The venue continues to play host to numerous touring productions of musicals, ballets, operas and plays, as well as an annual pantomime each Christmas.
Finding this flat in Wimbledon made our stay in the UK very special and it is excellent value for the money. We were so pleased to find it comfortable in every way, good sized bedrooms with comfy beds and pillows, and in the very pleasant living room, furniture to relax on after a busy day in London. The flat is very nicely decorated, very clean and feels like a home away from home. What more would you want! Everything we needed as a family of four was available to us and we especially enjoyed the availability of WiFi. The kitchen is not large but it is very well organized and equipped.
We found the train system to London was fast and efficient and we always used the bus to get into the main part of Wimbledon. The bus stop is practically across the road from the flat so that was never a problem and the bus runs every twenty minutes. You can ride the same bus to get to the village or to the main area of Wimbledon. We did not realize that we could not pay to get on the bus, you need a card, so on our first day we did walk into town. It is not that far but you would not want to be carrying groceries because it is a slight hill from the main part of town to the flat. However, the village of Wimbledon is only a ten minute easy walking distance with pubs, cafés, restaurants and shops to browse in which we thoroughly enjoyed.
We bought an Oyster card for the week from a store next to the station and we used it for the buses, tube trains and some of the rail trips since we spent most of our time in London. It is much more economical to do it this way.
In the flat you will find a comprehensive list of instructions for the appliances and other information which is very useful. From the very beginning of our contact with the owners we found them to be extremely helpful in every way which we really appreciated. It could not have been a nicer stay and we highly recommend the flat for the convenience to London, exploring and enjoying the attractive town of Wimbledon and the outlying areas. We spent a week in London over Easter and this place was the perfect base for our trips into the city. The tennis courts are about a 15 minute walk. The bus stop across the street takes you to the centre of Wimbledon from where it takes about 15 minutes by train to reach Waterloo Station in the centre of London. Shopping and nice pubs and restaurants are two bus stops away so there is no need to lug food and drinks through half of the town. Parking was around the corner and we left our car there for the week. Public transportation is way easier and relaxed than driving on the wrong side of the street ;-)
The apartment is spacious and the perfect size for five people. Everything is clean and the apartment provides everything you need. The small but well equipped kitchen has everything necessary so we didn’t have to eat out every day. We really felt at home here.
Communication with the owner was more than extraordinary. From the first booking request to the returning of the keys. Coco has been helpful with everything we wanted to know and we never needed to wait for an answer very long. Everything that needed to be organzied was done right away. Thanks a lot for this perfect support. It made our visit even more pleasant.

Clean, tidy and very like the photos, this property suited our family of four perfectly as a Wimbledon base in late summer. We loved it. Ground floor location means no stairs to lug bags up. Bedrooms of decent size and two well appointed bathrooms. The kitchen is small but has everything we needed to prepare our own meals and therefore meant we didn't have to eat out every day (although plenty of good options within 5-10 minutes walk). Parking is on-street using coupons helpfully obtained on our behalf by the owners (although there are off-street parks for temporary visitors to you) and we found it OK although some days the nearby parts of the street were full up. There is a bus stop nearby on a route leading to/from Wimbledon station from which you can quickly and reliably get into central London.
Owners were excellent at communicating with us and responding to questions.
Would definitely recommend to family and would return ourselves.
We enjoyed our stay immensely. The flat is big and very clean. It is next to a bus stop which allows you to reach the center of Wimbledon in a few minutes. We can really recommend the flat.
This was our 2nd stay at this property which once again delivered everything that we had hoped for and i guess expected since we had been there before in the summer of 2013.. Its the perfect location for both kids and adults (we are a family of 5). Wimbledon Village delivers everything we need. So many activities for kids within easy reach and plenty of bars/restaurants and great pubs for the adults. Throw in Richmond Park and Wimbledon Common for great walks/runs and you pretty much have the perfect package. Also as expats on our annual summer vacation back to the UK we make plenty of use of the great shopping available both locally and of course in central London which is little more than 15 mins away.
As for the property. It really delivers exactly what is promised. It is fantastic value for money, beautifully presented and a great location. It's really impossible to think of anything negative to say whatsoever.
As for the booking process well that continues to be first class. The owners make the process very simple and pain free and that's just another one of the many reasons why I am certain we will be making a 3rd visit next summer.
We cannot recommend this property enough. Simply a perfect 'home from home'.

The location was perfect! Wimbledon Village with it's lovely shops and restaurants is a short walk or bus ride away. Parking is not easy but for a small price the owner provided us with visitor parking passes. The flat had everything we needed and was clean and comfortable. We would definitely stay there again!
From booking time right through to collection of keys and throughout our stay everything was simply perfect for us. The apartment is in a super location just minutes from everything and yet you never feel just 15 minutes from central London. From walks on the common to pub lunches in the the Village it really was everything we hoped for. Wimbledon Village has an abundance of restaurants/pubs/shops and so there is certain to be something for everyones taste just a few minutes walk away. The apartment itself was spacious (we are a family of 5) very clean and has all the mod-cons you would need. This was the first time as a family we have rented our own space for our annual trips back to the UK and we will be back for sure. The owners have made the whole process stress free from booking through to organising off street parking. Nothing was too much trouble. This apartment is fantastice value for money and we cannot wait to get back there next summer.

The Village has a rural feel sited on the edge Wimbledon Common; the blend of chic shops, cafes and bars set amongst handsome period buildings and open spaces make Wimbledon Village unique in London. There are riding stables nearby which add to the country flavour.

Visit Wimbledon Museum and Southside House for local history or the Museum of the All England Lawn Tennis Club. Over the years several well-known tennis stars have stayed in this flat for the Wimbledon Tennis Championships - the courts are within a 30 minute walk.
There is something for everyone in Wimbledon Village. Those of us who work or live here appreciate what a special place this is.
