This beautiful custom built, three-story Real Log Home is located on a 1 ½ acre lot on Lake Keowee. The owner/builder constructed the 5000+ sq. ft. home in 2005 and captured all of the fine details. Not only does the home provide large open water and mountain views, but the lot has plenty of trees and green space.
The home has 6 large bedrooms and 3 ½ baths, a spacious loft area with incredible lake views. Five of the home’s bedrooms offer a picturesque view of the lake. Three bedrooms are upstairs with a Jack and Jill Bathroom. The main level includes the master bedroom and master bath (shower, jetted tub, separate his and her vanities). French doors open from the master room onto the deck.
The great room has a high vaulted tongue & groove ceilings and has windows from the floor to ceiling to capture the beauty of Lake Keowee. A gas fireplace enhances the room. Beautiful hickory wood floors are on the main level (carpet and tile in the master bedroom and bath). The dining room is included in this open floor plan. Dine inside or out and enjoy the breathtaking scenery.
A gourmet chef’s kitchen includes a five burner gas range, dual ovens, a microwave, two side by side refrigerators with dual ice makers and bottom freezers, walk-in pantry, beverage cooler, stainless steel appliances, granite countertops, spacious island with prep sink and filtered water tap, deep double commercial sink with disposal and cutting area. The breakfast bar provides additional seating. This kitchen overlooks the great room and dining area. This kitchen will bring out the gourmet in you.
The home has two spacious decks. The deck off of the main level includes a fireplace, porch swing, and gas grill. The deck off of the lower level provides you with an easy access to the lake.
The newly built walk-out basement includes two bedrooms and a full bathroom. A great room includes a Clemson orange pool table, separate ping pong table, dart board, gas fireplace, wet bar, and flat screen television.
A laundry room with a washer and dryer is available for use on the main level.
A private covered dock with a boat lift, wave runner ramp, and two kayaks continue the adventure. Not only does the dock provide great swimming opportunities, but it also provides a relaxing backdrop. The location also provides easy access to a boat ramp (less than ¼ mile – Warpath Landing). In fact, you can view the ramp from the neighborhood. For your convenience, there is plenty of space to park your boat trailer and for additional guest cars.
Great location. The home is within minutes to Clemson and Seneca. Downtown Greenville, SC and Cashiers NC is approximately 45 minutes.
As well, I have a pontoon boat that can be rented with the house at a good price!
I just want to let you know what a wonderful time my family and I had while staying at your beautiful home on Lake Keowee. Your home is wonderfully furnished and the space was perfect for all of my family - lots of room to spread out and, also, to be all together. We enjoyed the deck, the dock and the magnificent sunsets.
The time together was so special for all of my family. It was probably the last time that all of us will be together for at least 3 years. My oldest son, his wife and 2 small children moved back to Cambodia about a week ago. The time together at your lake home was a final time for all of us to be together before they left. We had great fun and good times together at your home and there were tearful goodbyes ("see you laters") for all of my children/grandchildren on your driveway.
I want to thank you for providing your home to rent and, thus, allowing us to spend a few treasured days with our family, making special memories in a beautiful home in a beautiful location. We are hopeful that we will, again, be able to rent your home for our next family get together!
We celebrated a 40th birthday with close friends during our stay. It was ideal. We were able to boat, golf, and truly enjoy the surroundings.
The home layout is spacious allowing everyone plenty of room to enjoy one another's company but also enough room to enjoy some quiet time as well. The game room downstairs was perfect for some fun ping pong and dart competitions following our daytime adventures.
We kayaked, pontooned, grilled, and relaxed on the deck while taking in the amazing views and sunsets. We were also able to play Yardgames on the relatively flat yard area overlooking the lake (which is often hard to come by in mountain lake properties).
We rented the pontoon from the owner. It was nice, newer, and ran well. It has a 90hp engine so it had no problem with 8-10 adults on board.
From a hostess standpoint, it was ideal. The commercial frig and sink made food preparation and storage for 10 people a breeze. While the large bench style tables indoors and out made dining together as a large group a joy.
Overall, great place to stay for large groups and great location on the lake. We will definitely return.
Thank you Richard for opening your home to our group. We made wonderful memories!!

I chose this house for a large family reunion and it was absolutely perfect in every way! The house was very clean, spacious and comfortable. We cook a lot and the kitchen was fantastic! 2 fridges, 2 freezers, 2 ovens, gas range, dishwasher everything you could need. The deck was huge with a wood fireplace, grill & 2 tables perfect for our nightly card games. This house has a spectacular view over big, deep water. We spent everyday floating off the dock & boating on the brand new pontoon we rented from the owner at a great rate. Great location mid lake close to everything.
Every bedroom is large and very comfortable. There were towels and extra linens. The loft with a futon for overflow also came in handy. We sat and watched the Olympics every night in the huge living room with huge flat screen TV overlooking the lake. The owner even came by with a brand new ping pong table when we arrived adding to the TV, pool table & basket ball game downstairs. The driveway w/ basketball hoop was perfect for the little ones to ride bikes & play chalk.
Overall I can't say 1 bad thing about this home and the owner. He was fantastic to work with and answered every question I had leading up to our trip. We are already picking a week next year to return!
We renting this fabulous home for our Son's High School graduation trip! There were 9 of us that stayed the whole trip, and 5 others that came at varying times throughout the week....All slept very comfortably! And we even had MORE room than we needed. The ages were 17 - 70, and all had plenty to do! We took advantage of the PONTOON boat and also brought a fishing boat of our own. The LAKE was fabulous- we visited the "CLIFFS" ( the kids all climbed, then jumped off into the clear blue/green water) We also made 2 trips to the FALLS and had a great time climbing them and visiting with other boaters. We took advantage of the water for water-skiing, wakeboarding, knee-boarding and fishing. We drove 1-day into town (SENECA) and did a little shopping. Mostly, though, we stayed at the home and really enjoyed COOKING in the AMAZING gourmet kitchen (With 2 ovens) and grilling outdoors (near the outdoor fireplace), playing pool (CLEMSON POOL TABLE) and basketball, fishing & swimming from the dock- watching the family of geese every morning from the porch as they made their way across the cove, and catching just a glimpse of the visiting beaver. The Owners were AWESOME and helped map out certain areas of the lake to visit, came by to help me with my computer connection, introduced us to the boat and home and answered any question we had! The home was immaculate and there were special "touches" all over the home, such as a laundry shoot upstairs, incredible wood moulding throughout, and convenient touches galore. Even the walk down to the water/dock area had immense character with detailed wood accents. The property has a beach area (for horseshoes- but the girls sunned there), incredible walking paths, lawn area for our croquet set, volleyball/badminton set, and even a HAMMOCK! We did bring our small dog, and she had plenty of grass area to run and play. There was not 1 thing more we needed. Thank you Richard & Sherry & Family for opening your home to us! It made our vacation with our children, family & friends so special! We hope to rent again next year! The Lyon's
