We were looking for a place to stay while we were in VA for the AAU Junior Olympic Track and Field. We called Chuck and he was very helpful. We arrvied early on Sunday Morning and Chuck had lights on so we could find our was in the house. The House was very nice, it served our needs of what we need, a place to sleep and feed the boys. It was very clean and it had the items you would have in your home. Washer, Dryer full Kitchen ( Chuck even brought down his grill for us). The one and only set back was everything we needed to do was on the other side of the bridge. If we would have known the area better we would have planed much better. It cost was $12.00 to get to the house and $5.00 to go back over the bridge if it was less then 24 hours. So $17.00 round trip and after 8 days that added up. But my over all experience was great. I would stay again ONLY if I had to stay on that side of the bridge.

Owner's Response: We are sorry you didn't know that Norfolk is on the other side of the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel, 44 miles from Cape Charles. The toll, one way, is $12. If you make the return trip within 24 hours the return toll is $5. That makes commuting expensive, but for a one-day excursion to Norfolk or Virginia Beach it's worth the price. The bridge/tunnel alone is a marvel.
