OCEAN AND BEACH VIEW TOWNHOUSE ON MANDALAY BEACH IN OXNARD, CA

We went for the weekend at the end of August for my husband's 30th birthday, and had such a wonderful trip we are planning to come back this winter. The house looked great in pictures, and we along with all our visitors, were so impressed with how adorably cute and relaxing this place is. It has two large, open floor plan living spaces, so it was great for my husband's birthday dinner with our family and friends. It is right across from the beach with two small balconies to be able to see the ocean. Our only complaint is not being able to take a nice shower. There is no overhead holder for the handheld tub spray, so you have to stand in the bathtub and hold the spray while taking a shower. And the tub didn't drain too well, so it was already gross by the time I used it, so I couldn't take a bath unless I wanted to clean the tub first and this was day one. But overall we really enjoyed ourselves! Can't wait to return.

Gary and his lovely wife may have to evict us from their stellar beach townhouse. Believe all the great reviews and know that your dream vacation has been ensured by the love of detail by this couple. Their desire to provide a stress- free get away for all is inexplicably illuminated by their cozy, private and shabby-chic (with elegance) home-away from home. I have enjoyed an entire month here and am looking forward to another month now. The first two weeks was a ‘ladies yearly vacation’ with one friend traveling from as far away as Bermuda. The following two weeks I chose to listen to the needs of my body and mind so as not to burn out and therefore obtained a new perspective on life by devoting time with myself and all the new friends I have made here. The change in routine and the ambience of this house has given me permission to read all the novels and biographies I normally would not slow down enough to enjoy. My 84 year old mother, my 38 year old daughter and my 31 year old son arrived last night from Virginia so that we may enjoy some quality time in a designated stress- free home.
You may be a bit uncomfortable renting a home sight unseen as I was initially. However listen to your “gut” feeling and take the leap as I did. Gary supplies everything needed to ensure a stress-free, relaxing and revitalizing vacation…except the groceries or vouchers for all the wonderful restaurants and wineries nearby….darn! Believe me when I say, “Everything!” Lovely stoneware, stemware, numerous utensils, towels, shampoos, cleaning supplies (don’t worry…..you can hire Juanita to clean for you at a very reasonable price and she even left a coffee filter in the pot for my next cup of coffee.), books, toys, beach chairs and too many other amenities (and necessities i.e. toilet tissue, paper towels, etc.) have been stored and arranged not only for convenience but for aesthetic purposes. He has gone way beyond the call of duty to ensure all of us feel like a guest in his home. He makes you feel as if you have a ‘butler’ on call but he is never intrusive. (I have only seen butlers on TV but he epitome of one.)
Gary installed glass partitions which flank the front and sides of the two spacious patios facing the ocean. On chilly nights you can relax on a comfy Adirondack chair w/o the cool breezes forcing you inside. But if you wish to miss the magnificent sunsets and stay indoors, he has provided a beautiful fireplace in the dining area which opens into a newly updated

We really did have a great time at this house, the neighbors that were home we're very kind! The beach was beautiful as well as the house of course. It had everything and more that we would need, that was a pleasant surprise. The broker was easy to work with, there was never any complications. Overall it was a very fun weekend!
