On private drive. Wonderful views of Eggemoggin Reach. Right on the water. Surrounded by native plant perennial gardens. Paths through the woods. Lily pond. Nicely furnished house with many antiques. Well-equipped kitchen and laundry. Stone fireplace. Deck with gas grill for lobsters. Linens supplied. Maid and gardening service. Satellite TV, sound system, Internet and free long distance. Separate cabin also available with charming furnishings and deck for larger parties. The cabin will not be rented separately, but could be included at a higher rate.

Nearest Airport : Bangor at 50 Miles

Brooklin is the home of The Wooden Boat School, Brooklin Boat Yard (designer and builder of yachts), Center Harbor Yacht Club and the Haven Colony. There is a well-equipped General Store, a library, the Brooklin Inn, and several shops which feature local artists and potters. 15 miles north on the peninsula is the town of Blue Hill with more shops, galleries and excellent restaurants. About 40 miles further east is Ellsworth, the gateway to Acadia National Park on Mount Desert Island. Across Eggemoggin Reach, via a beautiful suspension bridge, is Deer Isle known for its many artists and the town of Stonington.
