Only two blocks from Seaside shopping and restaurants and one block from the soft sugar sand and emerald clear water that have made this area famous, SugarGrove is your home away from home. Kick off your shoes and pad around on smooth pine floors through a home that whispers “live in me!” Snuggle down in a mound of throw pillows to watch dvds or cable TV with your family. Get in touch with your inner chef in the gourmet fully-equipped kitchen. Farm table, butcher block and oversized vintage sink provide work stations for multiple cooks and surfaces that are worn from loving use. Bedrooms are stocked with antique furniture and quilts. After a day of beachcombing, lie back and relax in your choice of two claw foot tubs. Enjoy the shade of live oaks, swaying palms and lush tropical plants as you relax in this private oasis. Cruise to nearby Seaside or WaterColor on our complimentary bikes, or chill oceanside in our complimentary beach chairs. Beautiful peaceful Seagrove Beach awaits!
We have been staying in the 30A area for well over a decade. From Grayton Beach down to Rosemary. Old Seagrove Beach is our favorite and we choose to return there each year particularly to Sugar Grove. The advantages to staying in Old Segrove is that you have prime location for walking to markets, unique shopping, fine and casual dining, bars, and activities for families. It is literally two blocks to walk into the Seaside neighborhood. If you are looking for a more quiet and secluded stay surrounded by oak trees and sandy paths then this is your place. Beach access is just two blocks straight down the street and we always call the same guy for weekly beach chairs. He setups the chairs for us each day early in the morning.
The Sugar Grove House is like staying in a "newly built" old style farmhouse. You have all the comfort but full of charm. Spacious and comfortable downstairs living area with well equipped kitchen. Bed are comfortable with well supportive mattresses. The house is also stocked with extra items like basic pantry items, extra paper goods, lots of good books to read, sand toys for the beach, bikes, chairs, etc. Lots of linens and towels too. It has a more homey feel.
If you are looking for a more quiet farmhouse feel while at the beach then this is your place.
This was our 2nd trip to the Seaside/Seagrove area, and our 2nd stay at this house. This home is in the perfect location - just a short two blocks from the beautiful beach, and a few blocks from Seaside proper. The home is beautifully decorated, is very clean, and so comfortable. It is such a pleasure renting this home - easy to work with the owners, and we will be back! October is the perfect time to visit! We recommend grabbing coffee drinks at Amavida Coffee in Seaside, and visiting the airstream trailers (the grilled cheese truck is so good!). Also love the book and record store in Seaside, and just walking around the area - such beautiful architecture/homes!
I just wanted you to know that I've absolutley fallen in love with SugarGrove!
We had an incredible weekend. I had very high expectations of your house based on the pictures and reviews and it was 10 times better than I expected. I was thrilled. It was absolutley perfect and had all the ammenities we needed. We were in awe of all the the furniture and decorations. It's the most welcoming beach house I've ever been to. I've stayed all along 30a and your place was by far my favorite. We had such a special girls weekend with my sister before she got married.
Thanks for sending me the beach chair and golf cart rental recommendations. They were perfect as well. I would recommend future renters take advantage of both of these convenient services.
You were such a pleasure to rent from as well. Thank you for being so easy to work with and for your hospitality. I will definitely be staying at Sugar Grove again in the future.
A perfectly lovely cottage with the Perfect location. One easy block to the beach and a short walk to the shops and dining at Seaside. The owners were great to work with. Must try the French dip sandwich at Great Southern. Sit at the bar-the bartenders are the best.
Was very easy for our family group of seven ranging in age from 15 - 79. The house is not only well equipped for vacation relaxation including...beach combing and lounging, playing games, cooking fresh seafood, biking, movie watching etc etc etc, it also is spacious enough for retreat to one's corner for a nap or to snuggle up with a good book. For those who love a home with southern charm and soul, this house will exceed your expectations and then some.....quilts, chenille bedspreads, claw foot tubs, chandeliers. Hopping on a bike or walking to seaside shops or the beach was REALLY easy. Renting a golf cart is a nice option for those with mobility issues. We did so for 2 days to tool around the back roads of all of the beautiful beach community homes. Bottom line from a frequent traveler: you cannot go wrong with this house. Oh one more thing.....gas fireplace was great the 1st few chilly rainy days. Thanks for sharing your beautifully decorated and restored home.
