This is the place to be!
Immediate family and relatives converged on The Captain's Cottage from Georgia, New Jersey, upper-state New York, and of course Connecticut for our annual holiday celebration for 3 days. The 12 of us that stayed overnights found comfortable accommodations and had plenty of room to prepare, cook and serve meals for the 20 individuals we had for the holiday itself.
Traffic flow was smooth as a result of the great layout and the number of rooms. Between the dining room, pool room, entertainment room, kitchen and living room there was always a place for the multiple activities that various groups were involved in for the entire stay to take place simultaneously throughout the entire stay. There was never an instance when someone could not find a place to scoot off to. Having 2 beautifully equipped bathrooms and a half-bath, there were no logistical problems between the numbers of people there.
Anytime we had questions for the owner, Captain Rick (which was not often), we got immediate and satisfactory response either by email or phone - Fantastic!! For example, we had a water pressure problem with the kitchen faucet the first evening we were in the Cottage, and someone was there the following morning (on a holiday!) to install a new fixture. How good is that! And you couldn't find nicer, friendlier, amenable people than them!
I spent time with Captain Rick numerous times before our stay and the best way to express my experience "he is the Best of the Best!”
Absolutely everyone that attended said that they had a blast.
Great place, great time - unanimously, we will be back!
