Be careful ....

This is a very beautiful property that looks like it should be in Architectural Digest. The kitchen, living room and master bedroom are quite impressive but the pool is unheated, there is no airconditioning and the stairs can be very slippery. The town is quite nice & centrally located but potential renters should be very careful as we were robbed while we slept in the house just days after the owner told us how safe & secure it was. The thieves stole our purses, wallets, laptop, glasses, jewellery & passports which ruined our vacation!
Owner's Response: I am really sorry about what happened to the Canadian tenants during their stay in Provence at "L'ecole des Filles" and I can understand their unhappyness. But I don't agree with their review. I and the local police confirm that the historic center of this medieval village is quite, safe and secure (even if everyone has to be careful everywhere...). The property is closed by high stone walls and the conclusion of the police investigation was that the thieves came in the night by the gate forgotten to be locked (the stolen bags where on a table near an opened window). About the swimming pool, in summer, temperature is usely from 24°C to 30°C. From spring 2013 it will be heated for spring and autumn tenants. About airconditioning, this property has thick stone walls to keep fresh.
The Canadian tenants were very enthousiastic about the property and their stay except the last day when the theft occured.
This property "L'Ecole des Filles" was seen on French national TV in October 2011 and elected second favorite home by French people (among 40 houses selected in France).
