Great Vacation Rental

We recently returned from Maui where we stayed at Hale Anna for 7 nights. We were very happy with the accommodations there. The house is situated in a residential area just across the street from the beach. The beach there is great for walks and watching the sunset, but not great for swimming. A good swimming beach is a short walk away and there are numerous beautiful beaches that are a short drive away. The house is also located very close to supermarkets and numerous reasonably priced restaurants in the area.
Hale Anne is well appointed with mahogany floors and granite counter tops. The living room/dining room have large windows which allow you to see the ocean between the trees. There is also a large deck with a propane grill that gives you the same view. The kitchen is stocked with all the basic cooking ingredients and there are lots of (good quality) pans to cook with. The main house has three standard size bedrooms and 1 1/2 baths. The main bathroom is spacious and well done with tavertine tiles. The 1/2 bath is small and off the master bedroom. The back two bedrooms have a large balcony overlooking the backyard and pool. There is also a pool house right off the pool. We had 4 adults in the main house and two in the pool house and it was very comfortable for all of us.
The pool is a wonderful feature of the house. The water temperature was perfect and it is very private. When you're in the pool and look up you see beautiful blue sky and tall palm trees. The yard of the house is landscaped well with the flora and fauna of Hawaii including a banana tree.
A few things to know about Hale Anne - it is located on the second floor accessed by about 20 steps. The owners live downstairs; however, they respect their guests’ privacy. On our arrival, Amber told us to contact her with any questions or concerns, but they basically gave us complete privacy. since we did not have any problems during our stay. Many times, we felt like we had the whole property to ourselves. The house is not air conditioned. We were there during a very hot week and the living room does get warm in the last afternoon since it faces west, but there were always breezes flowing through the house and there are ceiling fans in all of the rooms. Sitting on the deck in the late afternoon was much more comfortable. The bedrooms were also comfortable at night because of the breezes.
I strongly recommend Hale Anna for a relaxing, wonderful vacation in Maui.
