My wife and I bought this house in December 2012 to retire to. That's still a ways away. In the meantime, we travel here a few times each year to enjoy the house and all the natural beauty the area has to offer. We want you to do the same!
owner/manager purchased this house in 2012
Manasota Key is a hidden gem and the location of our house is ideal for enjoying nearby shopping, dining and entertainment while relaxing in the shade of our beautiful gnarled oak trees and taking in sunsets every night on your own private beach! We haven't wasted any time in completely updating the house, including new fixtures, windows, doors, AC system, etc. The exterior has been freshly painted and the property professionally landscaped.
Manasota Key is a haven for wildlife- dolphins, manatees, sea turtles, birds and gopher tortoises. A naturalist's dream!
We were looking for a place to rest and relax for the winter, boy did we find it. The beach is quiet and has some of the best sunsets around. We are coming back next year and will stay longer. Its the neatest house on the neatest beach in Florida. The owners were just great to work with. There was all sorts of stuff to do from fishing, swimming, golfing, shopping, and of course looking for sharks teeth, but most of all I just liked walking the beach. Ed Rexroad
We stayed 5 days in Rob's house after a road-trip from Montreal with our 2 young kids. It was perfect to rest... quiet and clean place with comfortable beds, well equipped kitchen and nice garden.
The must is the proximity to the beach... no road to cross... just 1 minute to walk and a long beach with mostly only Pelicans.
The plus is that Manasota Key have good places to have coffee, drinks or diner and the stump pass beach state park is wonderful for walking, beaching and kayaking and observing birds/dolphins...
Thanks Rob, it was great time spent there with our family
First, I must say how awesome Rob and his wife are for sharing their beautiful home with others!!! Their home is truly an amazing vacation spot!
We were only able to stay for 5 nights, but it was the best 5 nights ever!! We couldn't have asked for a better trip...the house was gorgeous and the beach was so close. We enjoyed the beautiful layout of the house, the landscape of the yard and all of the nature surrounding this lovely home. Manasota Key is a beautiful place to visit and Rob and his wife's home made it that much better!!!
I can't wait to come again and stay longer!!!!
You know you are in good hands when the owners are so responsive, flexible and unabashedly proud of their home. They truly want everyone to enjoy it as much as they do. The best part is the property is everything they said it would be. Manasota Key is truly a paradise and we can't wait to come back. The location is amazing!
So here we go. The drive along a winding, tree-lined street builds the anticipation. When you turn into to what seems like an exclusive enclave of wonderful homes you know the pictures from the website do not do it justice. Lush trees with twisting, gnarled trunks provide a canopy for the various flowers and grasses dotting the spacious property.
The house itself is airy and comfortable not to mention clean. Kitchen and bedrooms are immaculate and the sprawling living room just begs to be relaxed in. The row of windows with the picturesque view of the backyard and the lanai were our favorites. Everything you need is at your fingertips, from towels to coffee mugs and even laundry facilities. Truly, a home away from home.
Wait until you see the beach! Go out the front door and follow the private path to the Gulf of Mexico. Yes, it’s that close! We thoroughly enjoyed the beach. True to the owner’s words there were very few people and the ones we did meet were extremely friendly. We took long walks in the morning and enjoyed several wonderful sunsets. No dipping your toes tentatively in the water needed here. Dive right in and see for yourself.
Rob and Tammy, thank you for everything. You were great hosts and Manasota Key is in our hearts. We will definitely be back again next year. This time we will stay much longer.
We spent 19 nights in paradise. we have never had such a wonderful vacation ever. The house was wonderful and just a few meters from the beach.
And there was everything one could wish for in the house, full equipped kitchen, wonderful front porch and all the equipment to the beach, garage for the car, good bathroom, comfortable beds, many bath towels yes everything was in the house and large and spacious it was.
The beach was absolutely fabulous! it was several miles long and at most on the beach so it was about 15 people on the whole beach.
We were out in the evening, watching turtles lay eggs, a magical experience.
In the sea we saw manatees, dolphins, rays and we found many shark teeth.
And in the garden, we saw ibis, armadillo and squirrel.
and it was wonderful when we came home from the beach and showering in the outdoor shower.
Thanks Rob for that we have to borrow your lovely house.
We will come back to your paradise again we can promise that.
I have never been so well rested that at this point.
Thanks again Rob.
Everything about this property is great. The location is perfect being just steps to what seems to be your own private beach, heaven! The house is spacious and very well appointed with everything you might need for a comfortable stay. We were there for two weeks and were thrilled to find how quiet and convenient a place we had chosen. Would definitely stay again. Thanks for a REAL vacation.
