Brand new, the loft is equipped with full and recent furniture and appliances.
The French architect-designer was obsessed with making it more comfortable and pleasing to live-in and he succeeded very well.
After passing behind the natural barrier and opening the entrance door, you will find a unique universe: completely white from floor to ceiling, this doll's house is partly adorned with a subtle and titanic mosaic made of white Japanese ceramic pebbles, and embellished with a precious and extremely rare aquarium filled with sea water, corals, shrimps and multicoloured fishes. You will fall in love with this coral reef measuring more than 1.60 metres long made by sea animals each one more beautiful than the others.
A real parade of red, yellow, blue, pink and purple twirling around with joy right here in front of you: like being in the Maldives of Fiji's Islands in the very centre of Paris.
After leaving - with difficulty- this fascinating sight, you cannot but be amazed by the rest of the loft:
on the ground floor there is a large grey full grain leather sofa from the designer Pierre Paulin (sofa created at the beginning of the 1970's for the private lounges of the Elysée Palace upon request of Mrs Claude Pompidou, wife of the French president, and reissued by the firm 'Ligne Roset' in 2010) will allow you to completely and comfortably enjoy the spectacular aquarium.
Do you also want to listen to your favourite music? Let's just plug in your Iphone, Ipad or computer to the handy Beosound 8, the top-of-the-range dock by BO Bang & Olufsen.
An imposing arrangement of 3 huge cactuses will catch your attention: another unique feature in a unique place.
Two footrests from the Italian firm Cerruti Balleri, named 'the rabbit' and 'the tiger's skull', will put the final design touch to the total comfort.
On the same ground floor you will find a shiny diamond white kitchen with dark black worktops, fully equipped with up market appliances: Bosh multifunction oven and fitted microwave, Dietrich 4 burners induction hob, Scholtés washing machine and tumble-dryer, dishwasher, large refrigerator/freezer fully ventilated (optimal preservation of the food freshness), high-powered extractor hood with external extractor, and of course toaster, coffee machine, kettle, kitchenware, etc.
A double glass console table with 4 uncluttered chairs - that can be folded if needed - will allow you to have dinner of breakfast as you wish, with the unobstructed view of the 'coral reef'.
Finally the shower room: behind a frosted glass sliding door you will find the walk-in shower room. The walls are completely adorned by small glass cobblestones. The raining shower system makes you feel that water is coming from the ceiling, which is delightful and terribly enjoyable!! The plumbing fixtures are Italian and finely crafted. Regarding the suspended toilet, it is from the renowned French firm 'Villeroy et Boch'.
The loft designer has carefully designed the lighting systems, made up of more than 30 spotlight bulbs all with intensity control, allowing you to modify the ground floor atmosphere as you wish to create a hushed or energizing ambiance! Nothing was left to chance, such as the two magnificent floor lamps, from the design firm 'Kundalini', located on each side of the aquarium...
Three large mirrors fitted in the walls make the decoration even more amazing, multiplying the perspectives.
Now let's go upstairs, on the mezzanine.
How?
By the fine hanging staircase with Japanese-style steps, an airy feature!
The open mezzanine is definitely the greatest success of the architect: it is very airy and seems to be settled in the centre of this large volume.
The height under mezzanine is around 1.90 metres but the shiny white of the apartment makes you feel it is higher.
It is a real free standing 'open space' with windows, a shimmering deep-red sofa bed (convertible in a 140x200 cm bed) and a large and ultra-comfortable queen size bed measuring 160x200 cm with perfect beddings.
(Important: please note the particular attention paid to sanitation in the whole loft, from the bed linen and the towels, to the meticulous cleaning of the shower room and the kitchen before the arrival of new guests. It is absolutely necessary for us).
On the same level you will find a large Plasma 3D TV fitted in the wall (102 cm = 40'' ) as well as a 3D Blue-Ray, both Panasonic; an outstanding BOSE mobile Hi-Fi system, a phone allowing you to phone for free towards numerous countries, an access to many TV channels and broadband Wi-Fi in the whole loft.
A large cupboard with closet and small table on casters and 2 varnished storage spaces on the walls will give you the space necessary to store your belongings and clothes.
Another 3 beautiful and original cactuses give uniqueness to the 1st floor and a huge mirror measuring around 3 metres long allows to have many perspectives, and to keep your eyes alert.
And again, the lighting system designed by the architect is very advanced and allows the atmosphere of the room to evolve remarkably thanks to the light dimmers.
Last comfort feature that cannot be ignored: heating and hot water.
A huge and hidden electrical tank with a capacity of 200 litres allows 4 people to live comfortably in the loft without having to worry about water, which is permanently hot.
Regarding radiators, the bedroom/mezzanine side has his own unit - made of a slab of white glass - as well as the ground floor, which boasts a large high standard vertical radiator made of grey glass mirror from the French firm 'CAMPA”, which sweetly and diffusely heats the whole room thanks to the precision of the electronic thermostat. The shower room boasts a large programmable towel dryer.
During summer there is an air-conditioning unit from the Italian firm 'Delonghi', allowing refreshing the whole loft.
At last, a main point has been carefully considered: the security of the property.
The 2nd arrondissement is a quiet and tranquil area however we wanted to perfectly secure the loft and we have done it:
The 7 windows (all made up of insulating double glazing) giving all the charm to the place are reinforced by discrete but strong cast iron and steel protection bars. The entrance door is reinforced twice: first it boasts ribs and a safety lock and then there is a strong custom-made protection gate (made by an ironworks of the South of France).
Apart from that, the whole loft is protected by an alarm and there is a built-in safe upstairs, on mezzanine level.
One more time, nothing was left to chance...
Extraordinary geographical location in the heart of one of the most beautiful cities of the world, with the fascinating sight of the coral reef of Fiji's or Maldives islands, this ultra comfortable, modern, quiet, bright, secured doll's house with an atypical and refined design, hidden by a natural barrier, will definitely contribute to make your stay in the City of Lights a unique and unforgettable experience.
Welcome to an out-of-the-ordinary place, welcome to your Parisian loft.
Your attention please! I need to come every 2 or 3 days to maintain the coral aquarium; it takes only a few minutes and our guests do not have to be on-site. I take the opportunity to take the rubbish out. Thank you!
(and for your convenience a powerful purifier and dehumidifier is provided in the loft)
