From the first communication to the final goodbyes, Theresa was courteous, kind, and willing to help us in any way she could.
Since we did not know the area and had to go on faith that the apartment would suit our needs, we were unsure of what to expect. As it would turn out, we did not have to worry about a single thing. The photos Theresa had sent us of both the interior and exterior were exactly what we saw when we got there. Theresa came outside to welcome us, and even helped with all of our luggage :-) She settled us into the apartment, then gave us directions to the nearest grocery stores.
The apartment itself was lovely. It was spacious, spotless, and bright. Everything we needed was there, and more. The kitchen was fully stocked, including the use of some dry foods and condiments. The two bedrooms each had their own full bathroom (both newly renovated), and laundry machines were conveniently located in the apartment.
The neighbourhood was relatively quiet, aside from the trains that would pass nearby once in a while. The garden was a great spot to enjoy a drink, or just some fresh air.
There were multiple options for grocery stores, restaurants, and shops nearby. These were within walking distance if you had some time to spare (~ 25 minutes), otherwise you could drive to them in 5 - 10 minutes.
The Hallandale Beach was a 10 - 15 minute drive, or a pleasant 40 minute walk away. This beach was clean and less populated than the other larger beaches nearby. Hollywood Beach was a 15 minute drive away; it was a bit more happening and there are many places along the boardwalk at which to eat and drink.
Downtown Miami was about a 30km (19mi) drive, which could be done in 35 - 60 minutes, depending on the traffic. The Hollywood train station is also located conveniently close to the apartment (10 min drive without traffic), from where you could take the Tri-Rail and then the Metro as an alternative way to get to Miami. This trip in total took approximately 70 minutes, so allow yourself some time if doing this.
Overall, our experience with Theresa and our apartment was fantastic and we would highly recommend her property to anyone looking for a clean, conveniently situated place. Theresa made us feel welcome before we even arrived, was quick to respond to a couple of minor things that needed to be done in the apartment, and was completely professional yet extremely warm and friendly.
