Torremolinos Vacation Rental apartment: Montemar

Stayed in one of the studios for a week and it was excellent value for money. Perfect location for walking to the beach area, Torremolinos old town and Benalmadena, convenient for bars, restaurants and shopping, but still quiet and relaxing. The owners were friendly and helpful, with plenty of useful information on the local area if you need it.

If you don't mind a short climb, you will find some very private apartments. The location is just a few minutes from the bus stop, close to various grocery stores and just a 10-minute walk from the train.

We have been here several times and plan on returning.

The owner stops by once a week with clean linens and the renter takes care of cleaning while there.

The beach is only a short walk away and there are many restaurants within walking distance.

We like this location because of the many opportunities it provides for walking.

I would recommend this property for people who like privacy. I would not recommend this location for families with small children. There is not much room for the children to play and not everyone enjoys relaxing or reading while children are running around.

The apartments are good value for the price.

We stayed at the studio for 10 days from 24 April 09,excellent location,close to the beaches,shops,buses,train station,within 150 metres there's a Lidl supermarket,all the restaurants we used were close by the house. Very well equiped,satellite TV,small kitchen with gas cooking hob,electric hot water heater,fridge,microwave,kettle,bathroom with shower,it had everything we required and Les,the owner,kindly let us stay until the afternoon on our day of departure.

No transport was required from the airport,7 stops on the train at a cost of 2.50 euros/person return,from there a 10 minute walk to the house,car rental not needed as the beaches and towns are within short walking distances,to Torremolinos a 15 minute stroll,into the port at Benalmadena 5 minutes(where an excellent strength wi fi signal is available provided by the port),and,for us,having lived in Spain for 15 years where prices have become higher than the UK,the local prices are excellent!

A good 3 course meal is available from 5 euros/person,drinks,a beer at 1.00 euro,soft drinks 1.20 euros,spirit & mixers(local brands) from 2.20 euros,we would like to mention Charlie's Bar where we ate the last 4 evenings,June does excellent food,we had one course meals for 4.95 euros with drinks,bottle of beer 1.20 euros,the bar is located just past the Lidl supermarket about a 8 minute stroll from the studio.

Overall,great value for money,as soon as we returned back to the UK we were looking for more flights to visit again.

We actually booked 2 studios as my mother in law went with us,she's 80 and easily walked to the local shops on her own since everything is so close to the location of the studio.
