You will feel right at home in this newly renovated Hawaiian style home. Open and spacious this house sits on a large corner lot just a 2 minute stroll to the beautiful white sandy beach on the Windward side of the island, known as Waimanalo Beach. Sleeps six, with two large bedrooms, plus full daybed off living area, large bathroom with shower, open living space, dining area, full kitchen, picnic table and BBQ. Just renovated February 2013.

Comfortable, Roomy Home

We enjoyed staying in this comfy home sittting on a large corner lot, although the highway noise (Hwy 72) on one side could be a bit much at times, especially when we were trying to sleep. On the other hand, having quick access to the highway was quite a plus, and we found it almost easy to navigate the island and find our way "home" again. The house itself is well laid-out and seems to encourage you to sit back and relax; a well-eqipped kitchen, a nice yard and a barbeque grill provide almost all you need for entertaining or just kicking back. There's a beautiful beach at the end of Ehukai Street and through the public access walk, with limited parking available if you don't want to walk.The owners have generously provided boogie boards and sport chairs for you to use during your stay. I saw a child's sand pail and shovel and a frisbee too!
There is a person living in the garage attached to the house so plan to park on the short driveway, rather than in the garage.
If we have the opportunity to return to Oahu, we would want to stay here again. It would almost be like coming home.
Owner's Response: We are so glad you enjoyed your stay! Yes, the designated parking is in front of the garage as our caretaker, John lives in the garage apt. Glass Ball Hideaway is our family home and John provides handyman, security and gardening services for our property and its possessions as well as the church property next door even when we are in residence. He does not have access to the main house nor does he interact with the guests as we personally greet and check-in all of our guests. We are thrilled to have such as conscientious individual looking after our beautiful home.

Wonderful Vacation

We had a great stay at the Glass Ball Hideaway. The house is right up the street from a beautiful beach where we spent the days watching the sunrise. The house had boogie boards for our children to use, which was a life saver because that's all they wanted to do. The home is easy to find, it is equipped with just about everything you could possibly need on your vacation and is in a great location for amazing beaches and various activities. The owners were so helpful and the property was nicely maintained. We would definitely stay here again!

Wonderful house for our large family!

My family of 7 really enjoyed staying at the Glass Ball Hideaway! It was everything the advertisement said and more. The house was impeccable and nicely decorated. It had dishes and cookware and everything we could want. I am a sheet and towel snob, even to the point of wanting to bring my own, but I was so surprised to slide into 600 count Egyptian cotton comfort! The towels were lovely and thick and plenty of them, including 10 high quality beach towels. Laura also let us borrow boogie boards, beach chairs and hooked us up with a discount at Kailua Sailboards and Kayaks. This was all such a big help because renting everything for a week for our crowd is expensive. Laura was amazing - she answered our questions, made suggestions, and was quick to respond with our requests. Waimanalo Beach was our favorite - a short walk down the block and you're there - clean and quiet and perfect waves for playing. I would recommend this place to my family and friends!

Our family enjoyed North Shore Shark Encounters, The Polynesian Cultural Center, Hunama Bay, Wiamaya Falls, Pearl Harbor, Buzz's Steakhouse in Kialua, kayaking, Aioka shave ice on the North Shore, Swap meet at the Stadium, and having fun on the beach!
